not putting rexxar in tier 1 is instantly wrong dude.
playing rexxar on curve lets you out value even jaina as she will run out of clears and over the course of the game you will 100% make some unfair beasts. rexxar actually carries hunter to being top tier right now.
One cards impact on the match is clearly higher than the others. We can look at the stats to see. Frost Lich Jaina has a mulligan win-rate of ▲60.3% in Odd mage, for a 9 mana card. A card that's kept to be played on turn 9 all the way from turn 1, wow. Deathstalker Rexxar mulligan win-rate is 54.0% in deathrattle hunter, making him the seventh worse card to have in your opening hand. When a nine mana card is outshining a 6 mana card this much, one is very clearly better.

your stats dont mean anything over the power of the two cards. ppl keep frost lich jaina because she is the win condition and as for hunter you want to mulligan for a good early game curve.
it dosnt mean that jaina is better or worse then deathstalker rexxar.
both cards are extremely good and deserve to be in the tier 1 list with Gul'dan

deathstalker Rexxar is also the win condition, two mana deal two only goes so far. So yes, it does mean one card is better than the other.
So...didn't expect this to blow up like this, but after reading through the comments, I'm not surprised it's like this...considering a good portion of the posts on here are some really ignorant shit...like you can tell who read the opening post in it's entirety by how they responded and I can tell that a lot of people didn't read the whole post.
Look, I'm going to answer a couple of basic things and then post a slightly updated tier list, as I said in the OP, I made this thing at 2 a.m. to argue something someone else said, so I didn't bother with half tiers, and honestly, T3 became everyone that I knew was better than Thrall, but I didn't think I could effectively argue on whether or not they should be T2, but that's not what we're getting at.
First, for everyone saying that I'm biased based on the fact that the top two standard DK's (or hero cards...whatever) are my T1, I am basing this on my experience, not only what I have seen, but also what I have personally done. Dr. Boom and Rexxar pump out more value than any other DK on the table currently on the table and every time I see them played, it is a guaranteed win, this is both for Wild and Standard, though my personal play-based experience has been Wild because that is all I play, I've played Rexxar and Dr. Boom into Gul'dan's and Jaina's and been able to not only keep up, but outpace them as they can't deal with the up with the value I'm producing, I still lose to Big Priest and Millbane, but the fact that the DK's of non-Kabal based Reno decks can keep up with Kabal based Reno decks says a lot to the power of the card.
Second, for every complaining about the fact that I'm calling all 12 current hero cards (Sorry Jaxx, but you're still technically a minion in my book) Death Knights, that one is based on personal choice...look, I know it's not technically correct, but imo, hero cards sounds stupid and DK is just easier to 'say' in conversation, whether or not I'm talking about one of the actual 9 Death Knights, you should get the gist and I will mention them by name if I'm trying to discuss a specific one.
Now for the updated tier list, added the .5 tiers and honestly didn't move anyone around too much, mostly because I'm sticking to my guns because of how I discussed the power levels of the DKs in my eyes. I see everyone's points, but this is still based mostly on my personal experiences. Anyway, here's this monstrosity:
Also, to everyone who says Gul'dan should be T1, I'm going to literally say this, board wipes; It works with all the DK's that produce boards, but it specifically hoses Gul'dan, literally 2/3 of what you play the card for is destroyed the second your opponent uses their brain and saves an actual board wipe for Gul'dan. I do it with my Priest and Warlock decks all the time, just save Shadowreaper or Nether, the second Gul'dan is dropped, board wipe, all that hard work is gone in a second. Gul'dan's powerful, but the fact that his battlecry is so easily countered on top of the fact that the second you hit fatigue the hero power becomes slowly worse put him lower than most people put him (imo), but their .5 tiers do boost him a bit, since he really shouldn't be on the same tier as Uther.
If this list was made during KoFT and KnC then Anduin would be tier 1 and Rexxar would be sitting alongside Thrall. There is no way to accurately rate cards with different effects and classes.

What you don't understand is Bloodreaver Gul'dan isn't tier 1 for its battlecry. It is about changing Warlock's hero power. It is base mechanic of Warlock. You don't need card draws at late game because of fatigue so if they even print a trash hero card for Warlock, It will see play because of Warlock's base hero power. This is why Bloodreaver Gul'dan should be in tier 1 or S tier and this is why Warlock has the only hero replacement in Classic set ( Lord Jaraxxus) Even you don't have demons in your deck, you can still put it in your deck because of Hero Power. Compare it with Zul'jin 2 dmg vs. 3 dmg + lifesteal. C'mon, they can't be in same tier.
Memedeck-seeker. Always tries to build new decks. Hates tournements, streamers, netdecks and poor-o players. ah, but a tournement mode could be great !!!
People who say Dr. Boom, Mad Genius is Tier 1 Hero card have some kind of brain damage or have no clue about the game. Put him against Frost Lich Jaina or Deathstalker Rexxar.. dead fuckin’ card.
You're absolutely high if you think FrostLich Jaina is worse than Dr Boom, or if you think Bloodreaver is worse than Hagatha. Honestly I'm just having trouble figuring out why you're making tiers based on how much value a hero card generates, considering how unimportant that is
Dammit, not all playable heroes are death knights.

Lol. Guldan and malfurion in the same tier. Malfurion give you two 2 Mana drops. Guldan fills the board with demons.
Malfurion can attack for three OR gain 3 health. Guldan does both at the same time, while ignoring taunts and not having to take face damage.
How soon you forget cubelock and control warlock. Decks so powerful they had to nerf three cards to slow it down.

From an overall power level POV
Tier 1
Death stalker rexxar
Guldan
Frost lich jaina
Tier 2
Valera
Malfurion
Hagatha
Dr boom
Tier 3
Everything else
deathstalker Rexxar is also the win condition, two mana deal two only goes so far. So yes, it does mean one card is better than the other.
This is all based on a opinion, not a fact. Everyone will have diffrent opinions on who is tier 1 etc.
I stopped reading at Blood Reaver tier 3. And ain’t no way Boom is tier 1
Yeah, similar to all the threads suggesting nerfs.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
One thing is to have an opinion but you still need to be objective when data and gameplay just show how ridiculous a card like Gul'dan is.

Guldan would be T1 even without resurrecting demons. 3 lifesteal each turn is insane.
Step 1-Set parameters for discussion
Step 2-State opinion based around the parameters set
Step 3-People argue your opinion is wrong using their own set of parameters instead of yours
Step 4-Wonder why you even bothered in the first place
Also Anduin #1 cause of reasons.
Good thread

Bloodreaver is the best one.
Agree, btw I think Dr. Boom is actually tier 4
