So, I play an elemental evolve shaman deck with Zentimo, and got myself a Lyra the Sunshard via Menacing Nimbus. Through Lyra I got a Shadow Word: Pain. My opponent had 3 minions on board - a silver hand recruit, a fat mech with 7/6 stats and in the middle a Hydrologist. So i targeted the Hydrologist in the middle and the SWP destroyed them all, including the big mech with 7 attack. Do you think this is a bug or working as intended?
i think its right. Shadow word: Pain cast condition is that the oponent minion has to have 3 attack. But Zentimo forced the spell to be casted in minions that cant be target and i think shadow word pain not double check if the targe has 3 attack because that only matter to cast the spell.
Well, if you play Shadow Word: Pain on Chromatic Dragonkin, the dragon gets buff, becomes 4/5 but the spell still kills it. So, this mechanics was there for ages.
Does this also work for Earthen Might? If I was to target and elemental sat between two non-elementals, would I get three elementals or just one added to my hand?

Just one. The random elemental you get is part of the effect, not of targeting.
It's intended as Zentimo's effect is to cast the same spell on adjacent minions with eans if your SH:P the hydrologist is because the condition is obviously met and then the minion is killed thus activating the effect on the adjacent ones no matter their stats.
Shadow Word: Pain is a spell with a condition but with a clear effect: destroy the targeted minion , the being 2 or less mana is just its condition but the effect itself of the spell is to destroy the targeted minion so the spell checks the 2 or less attack and then proceeds to kill it so the interaction with Zentimo is correct, it checked for the Hydrologist to be 2 attack or less (which it is) and then casted the spell on it which mada Zentimo's effect come into play and activating the effect of it on adjacent minions, he only takes care of enablng the spells on the adjacent minions, he does not care about conditions as the spells have already been activated thus the conditions have effectively been met already.

That's the outcome I would've expected. The 2 attack or less is just restricting what it can naturally target, but the spell does kill its target.

Similar to a Spellbender when a Shadow Word: Death is cast on a 5+ attack minion. The 1/3 Spellbender is also killed despite being an illegal target.
Nice, thanks for the replies guys :)
According to this behaviour, Zentimo would also enable to cast spells on Elusive minions, as long as they're not the first target. Right?
Of course. The effect jsut adds to the original effect and a removal would work like Grievous Bite , Shooting Star or Meteor
Of course
Leper Gnome

Weird thing. Today i saw a priest play zuljin when there was a 7/7 minion with elusive buff.
i thought when shadow word death get casted it would have died but nope. it was still on the board.
