Probably won't see much play - there's just better, more proactive armor gain in the game. Still, I like the design - it could work in a heal paladin/lynessa deck if you can play it with a taunt or maybe give it some kind of divine shield/stat buff.

Oh, Lethal - where did you go? I miss you all the time.
This is interesting. I love the concept of it. I wish it was 3 health instead of 2 but I think people will be experiencing on this card. There are some ways to protect this and 8 armor isn't nothing to laugh at.
My friend and I talked about this card some. This may lead to a total coin flip scenario, as when you go first and play this your opponent 9/10 times will have no way to kill it. Boom, 38 Health. So because if that, I’m sorta hoping it doesn’t really see the light of the meta, but I feel like this card *will* wriggle into a deck at some point.

Great for classes lacking in healing. Control Rogue turn 1?
Now that you mention it, this could be good for my Pogo Rogue for that point in the game were you stabilize, but you've only got 5 health left, no Zilliax left, and you're just begging that your opponent can't kill you next turn
If the objective is to gain the 8 armor or soak up (in most cases) 2-3 damage then hate to tell yah but this is basically Iron Hide or Goldshire Footman and this is conditional so this is very VERY bad. You lose so much fucking tempo if you play this against aggro and this just pretty much does fuck all against control decks.
This is good enough that I want to play it but not good enough that I want to waste a card slot on it. Seems like it would be a good card in a control deck alongside Doomsayer.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
If it was a rare card I wouldn't mind it that much. But it's an epic. 400 dust is too much for this shit.
i absolutely agree with u why it's an epic ? really Blizzard !!!! it should be at least a deathrattle or at the end of the turn u need to put this card with only 2 health till ur next turn for getting only 8 armor really -_-
Damn, the original Pact was broken if you compare it to this.
It's not a Deathrattle, although it would be much better in that way

"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..."
Ok, so let me start by saying that I opened around 110 RR packs and I didn't get a single copy of this epic. Though since I really wanted to test my theory, I decided to craft two copies of it. Today I played a bunch of games with my control warlock, I purposely conceded to everyone, that didn't run an aggro deck. Results? The card is fine; it was functioning the way I expected it would.
If someone is interested, I will paste here a post, where I expressed my opinion regarding this epic:
And I will be damned to say it, but Gurubashi Offering is also an underrated card. People call it trash, because they compare it to its already existing equivalent (Iron Hide) and pay attention only to its downsides. They think, that the effect isn't significant enough and it won't trigger often. I, however, can point to another card, which was also compared to a weak spell, but at the end was appreciated as a good one - Voodoo Doll. The thing about Assassinate is that it's given to the "wrong" class. Rogue is too squishy and it can't afford to play a defensive strategy. They mostly prefer the fast-paced games, so spells like Sap are better in this regard. Mage however has tons of AoEs and an extra single-target removal proved to be attractive. Now, I know what you are thinking: "Kovachut, the doll was included, because it enabled synergies with their DK". This is true, but will you deny, that the doll is also good outside their DK form? Will you deny, that this was also used in another class - warlock? The thing I want to stress here is how some weak cards feel very strong in the right context.
Now, let me tell you why this Iron Hide will be useful in this class. The thing about the latter spell is that it has a weak effect and only consumes a card slot. However warlock HP can be used, in order for you to cycle through your deck. Since other classes struggle to draw cards consistently, they will never include this warrior spell even if they heavily lack healing. But warlock doesn't have this problem. Now about the effect triggering - no other class has so many cheap ways to deal with the board like warlock does. We have Defilex2, Doomsayerx2, Hellfirex2, Lesser Amethyst Spellstone2, Twisting Nether (1-2) and I also run Shadow Bolt as a tech against some nasty 3-drops - all of this should tell you, that we have many ways to clear the board and to deny a minion from attacking the 0/2. We can also play the offering on turn 1 and behind a taunt. So needless to say, Gurubashi Offering can be quite useful in the upcoming expansion and I am planning to cut Plated Beetles for this. However, I am going to give it only 3 stars, because I see it more as a "tech" choice for the current environment than as a useful card in general. If the meta stays somewhat slow, I will prefer to play Gnomeferatus instead.
Tl; dr: In a heavy aggro meta the card is a legit inclusion in control warlock.
The thing about the 8 armour is that it gives you a chance to survive another turn (or more) and because of this, you will most likely have the opportunity to play your big threats (Bloodreaver Gul'dan, Voidlord or a big AoE like Lord Godfrey, Twisting Nether). Imho the effect of this card is better than the one of Plated Beetle (although the latter card can trade into minions) and I also think, that this is more useful than Saronite Taskmaster in control warlock. The reason for this is that some classes can utilize the extra body (they can buff it). In some cases, if you don't have a Defile or a Hellfire, the taunt might hinder you from making the wanted trade. So in a really aggressive environment don't be afraid to use the offerings. And for the love of God, don't DE them.
That said, I don't think that this card is useful atm. It holds some risks and it's situtionally good, this is why I only gave it 3 stars. I see too many slow decks on the ladder, so the better tech is still the Gnomeferatu.
I dunno how you can continue to justify this card, it's a dead card in almost every situation. The only time it is ever decent at best if you go first on turn one against Aggro, that's like the only good situation you have a chance to get the 8 armor. Turn 2 you drop this opponent can just kill it for free pretty much, all you've accomplished at that point is soaking up 2-3 damage..You might as well just play Doomsayer, Plated Beetle or hell even Goldshire Footman. Also argueing that you can get the 8 armor if you hide behind a taunt...but that is just redundant cuz the taunt will be basically giving you the health already rofl. At that point this just becomes a win more card.
This is exactly what I want to proof, mate. Everyone is ignoring this card, because they are looking at its downsides and comparing it to weak cards. They don't realize how useful this can be in some situations. It's kinda hard to acknowledge this, since the current meta doesn't consist of super aggressive decks and control warlock doesn't need the extra health gain. It feels superfluous in the current environment.
However under other circumstances having a card, that will replenish a huge chunk of your health, which you lost to the HP, isn't something insignificant. The problem with Iron Hide is how it only gives you armour - other classes wouldn't want to use it, because this doesn't cycle itself and it only eats a card slot. But warlock doesn't have this problem; not when we can consistently draw cards.

Control Warlock Deck
by Kovachut - Dec 11, 2018
This is my deck, which I used 2 months ago (I used to use Dark Pact instead of the weapon, in order to have an activator for Rin against control decks). As you can see, I already use 2x Doomsayers and 2x Gnomeferatus instead of Plated Beetles. As I said in the previous post, the offering could replace the beetles, since they both fulfill the same roles - sustaining our hero. So I am not cutting essential cards. Yes, while the beetles can trade into minions and their deathrattle effect is secure, the offerings can grant me more health. And since my deck runs tons of defensive tools, it's not hard to protect them. This is why I said earlier, that I am willing to take the risk.
Inb4 I don't plan to play with this deck anymore, since I don't want to play against druids and their BS. Right now I am goofing around in wild.
Also argueing that you can get the 8 armor if you hide behind a taunt...but that is just redundant cuz the taunt will be basically giving you the health already rofl. At that point this just becomes a win more card.
Not really. You think, that once I play a taunt, I immediately win against proactive decks. Then why don't my opponents concede after I play Stonehill Defender or Rotten Applebaum or a taunt from the defender? Because they can deal with it and continue to push face damage further. I don't lose anything by including this card - the goal of this deck is to survive, until I play my big threats/AoEs. I also have plenty of value generation. So having yet another card, which contributes to the prior strategy, isn't useless.
If next expansion we get a reprint of Mistress of Mixtures, then obviously this will be used w/o a doubt.
Also, imagine how I play a beetle in the late game. My opponent will most likely ignore it and push for face damage. I can trade it and regain 3 armour later. Since the offering is also quite annoying for them (yesterday a warlock cast soulfire on it and a hunter smacked it with a Highmane), the blocked damage is almost the same (3<->2).
Not necessarily, you can board clear then play this.
Probably won't see much play - there's just better, more proactive armor gain in the game. Still, I like the design - it could work in a heal paladin/lynessa deck if you can play it with a taunt or maybe give it some kind of divine shield/stat buff.

seems like an mtg card haha not really i dont effin know
Would be MUCH better if that effect was a Deathrattle.
will be interesting to get Gurubashi Offering off Shrieking Shroom or Ravencaller or similar.
Or not interesting, I am a bad judge.
It feels like this card is only here to be a hilarious drop from things that give you random minions.
Now that you mention it, this could be good for my Pogo Rogue for that point in the game were you stabilize, but you've only got 5 health left, no Zilliax left, and you're just begging that your opponent can't kill you next turn
After 3 years and 1152 card discussions on hearthpwn, this is the first time I have ever voted "dust it".

If it didn't have the text "destroy itself" then it *might* have seen play, and would have been far more interesting.
