What heals? Paladin only got one healing card (+the Legendary but thats very Lategame).
The existing healcards are either not good/slow , or very Lategame (DK Uther,LOH). Id say a Doomsayer on curve can save you more life , and isnt completely useless Lategame (after an aoe clear).
Besides that its a good aggrocard ofc.
It got some more.
...... yes, thats the ONE healing card i was talking about.........
... Is this actually so good, huh? Say opponent plays 1-drop like a 2-1 and a 2-drop like a 2-3. You play this weapon on turn 1 and hero power on turn 2 and clear both minions.
Opponent loses 1 card, you lose 8 health. 8 health for 1 card is a pretty good deal for many decks.
Tell that to a class who can heal pretty much to full twice.
Mechanically it's exactly what Healadin needed to actually be able to heal. BUT what does a self-damaging weapon actually have in common with a Paladin?! It's so anti-Paladin conceptually that it hurts almost as much as this card's battlecry.
Besides, your poll is broken and has only two options.

Yes, I remember those cards of course, but i was talking about what healing cards Paladin got THIS expansion....
If you want to make a deck with slow tempo heal-cards just to convert two midrange bad tempo cards ( the 2/2 spellstone+ the 4/4 Templar) into good tempo cards ( wich you can’t even fully upgraded play on curve ) , well then good luck 👍.
Only good healing cards are worth to be played ( Truesilver, Zilleax, DK Uther) . To make Healadin a thing we don’t need delayed midrange guys. We needed a Cthun kind of finisher ( who maybe grew with every restored HP?)
To be fair , in wild... it’s kinda broken tho, like many other decks.
When cursed blade was in Standard you have critical 3 health 1 mana minions around, mana wyrm and trogg, and take 5 damage in face is bad, take 18 from a Fireball + Frostbolt is much worse.
That said in that time warrior have a 3/2 weapon for 2 manas without downsides, why take chances with Cursed?
I think this card is just average. Taking 5 damage at the beginning and continue to take even more by trading and getting hit by other minions is not that great imo especially since it is only 2 damage. I am not even sure that I would run Woodcutter's Axe even if it is 1 mana.

Possibility for healadin. Over rated for odd paladin. Aggro needs bodies on the floor and the 1 drops are going to be better generally.
Tell that to a class who can heal pretty much to full twice.
Let's make odd lists even more aggressive.
lmao, you can only vote very good and meta-defining
Odd Pally - yay. It looks like a warrior card that they had second thoughts about.
On that note, can someone explain to me how Fiery War Axe at 2 mana was completely unfair yet this is fine?
I dunno meta defining but yeah it's pretty crazy in odd pally
And the funny thing is this was meant for heal pally (a control deck)
And I was actually thinking about running Light's Justice in that deck lul but now that I see this card I can just forget about that
Sprit Claw in Shaman was much better than this. it did not cause self damage, has one more durability, and more often that not did 3 damage.

Does nobody remember these Benevolent Djinn, Shroom Brewer, Earthen Ring Farseer, Truesilver Champion?
All those also synergizing with spellstone and Zandalari Templar... and in wild giving you more armor to go berserk with High Priest Thekal and Molten Giant?

The poll has been reset due to that mistake. If you had already voted, please vote again. Sorry for the inconvenience.
A mistake sure.... ;)

Bloodclaw looks like it's in the Astral Tiger art.
Turns out damaging yourself is pretty bad. So not even Odd Paladin runs it.
Always expect the unexpectable!
