Maybe in odd pally but I don't think 5 damage for 1 mana less will be good in anything else.
Odd pally can use this because if the game not end in turn 6 with better board than your opponent in every turn before that having 30 life or 1 don't make diference anyway.
"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..."
Amusing that there are only "meta-defining" and "very good" as vote-option :)
this card is insane.. I would play it in aggro paladin and control paladin. as control pala it is most important to keep the board clear in the early turns to avoid snowbally dmg turn 2+... turn1 weapon + swing, turn2 2nd swing + the new heal + draw card spell and maybe spellstone....
Yes you can clear a Firefly , or any 1/3( besides Northsire Cleric ofc) , but you also take 7 damage in return.. Wich is obviously non relevant for a aggro archetype , but i rather have a sticky one drop that helps me snowballing my board . Later it can also be a dead draw if you wanna/have Vinecleaver equiped .

1drop weapons often depend on the meta. this weapon is very good if all the 1-2 drops are most likely 2 health (flame imp, odd/even paladin minions, hunter beasts) and you face many aggro-decks. as aggro deck you wanna use a weapon to get the board under your control and as control you wanna have a weapon to stabilize early on. the potential is there in my opinion even though i don't think healadin will be a thing because lesser spellstone/blackguard and the zandalari 4/4 are just too weak/situational to be relevant but I would use this weapon instead of MCT or other anti aggro tech tools because we lack good early game weapons atm and reaching turn4+ is our goal as control heavy pala. and a 1 mana 2/2 weapon helps to avoid funglmancer or similar snowballing turns early on
I do like the card, but I'm not too found of the voting option .. I mean, I know it is good but maybe choosing between Meta Defining and Very Good is a little biased
... Is this actually so good, huh? Say opponent plays 1-drop like a 2-1 and a 2-drop like a 2-3. You play this weapon on turn 1 and hero power on turn 2 and clear both minions.
Opponent loses 1 card, you lose 8 health. 8 health for 1 card is a pretty good deal for many decks.
Excellent analysis, now if you wanted to dive into the scenario's where this basically wins you the game, this becomes a core card in odd pally, both now and for the next rotation. Simply absurd weapon for one of the strongest aggro archetypes the game has ever seen.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
cursed blade did so much more damage than this card to you, also cursed blade was in more aggressive metas, also paladin got heals.
What heals? Paladin only got one healing card (+the Legendary but thats very Lategame).
The existing healcards are either not good/slow , or very Lategame (DK Uther,LOH). Id say a Doomsayer on curve can save you more life , and isnt completely useless Lategame (after an aoe clear).

Besides that its a good aggrocard ofc.

odd Pally, pls god no
Ah, i already see this in that horrible odd paladin.
Great weapon pretty much for every archetype, especially Odd Paladin LUL.
Insane.

It s similar to pre nerf FWA

So good.

I like how the poll has 2 options: very good and meta defining, and I actually agree
really good card, HP doesn't matter much when you have tempo in the last 3 metas or so.
If cursed blade didnt see much play will this?

Ben Brode: OK, I'm game. What is it
R&D: Its a great weapon to fit into Odd Paladin and...
Ben Brode: ... I'm done....
It got some more.
