People really complain about this card? REALLY? This is Gul'Dan level of power, you clear the opponent board, get a full board and protect yourself with secrets, like N'Zoth but much easier to setup.
The only thing bad about this card is all 10 cost cards become worst with new legendary make all players back to 5 manas.
Technically it's more like Tess Greymane, it casts spells you've cast this game instead of random ones. That means you're likely to get way more value, considering you'll instantly Christmas tree with 5 secrets. Plus, Zul'jin isn't a minion, so his Battlecry can't kill him unless it kills you. In other words, you'll just keep casting every spell unlike Yogg who will eventually Silence, bounce, or kill himself.
bloodreaver guldan’s battlecry can fill your board with voidlords and then has a 3 damage hero power with lifesteal. this can fill your board with 3/3 beasts, or beasts from your deck but only if you still have good ones in your deck and then you only get a 2 damage hero power. How is that fair?
You forgot secrets, easily get 4 or 5 free secrets, this compensate the weaker hero power and is much easier to setup than the full board of voidlords.
Sure this isn't unique, but it doesn't make the battle cry any less busted, especially since the hero won't be killing itself before it ends (probably?).
The hero power is fair. This is in line with the new hero cards which are good but not broken. They are all meta defining, so is this.
Gives you 5 armor. Improve your hero power to do 2 dmg to any target (not just the enemy hero). And repeat every spell that you played this game.
And we are talking about hunter' spells. Secrets or release the hounds, or even the new ones (draw beast from your deck, etc). Mostly offensives (except kill command that can hit your own minions/hero)
At the moment it's have competition with rexxar DK (mostly because no one's want to give up the Build a beast one). But in april will be a must in every hunter deck
I agree that the HP is a boring. It's upgraded Jaina for Hunter (which isn't even bad...it's just sad that two classes are going to be doing this at the same time).
But can we stop comparing it to Gul'Dan/Anduin, please? Those cards were busted, and it's clear that Blizzard recognized it. That's why the new Hero cards have been significantly different.
Yogg was random spells with random targets, this is spells you've cast. The difference is insane and Yogg is basically trash in comparison. 10 mana for 2-5 animal companions, 4+ secrets, a couple spellstones worth of wolves, and some random damage here and there as compared to RNG nuke fest where you draw yourself into fatigue, buff enemy minions and wipe your board.
This *can* fit in spell hunter, but it works best in secret hunter or midrange hunter where you dont have to add every type of spell and can pick only good ones for this battlecry
This card is very open ended in terms of what it can do, and I like that a lot. It's a deck-building challenge to cast the kind of spells that will maximize this card's effectiveness. The card would be absurd at any other mana cost, and if this year has shone anything, is that Hunter has what it needs now to play the long game until it can play this card.
I don't know much about Zul'jin, but I do know he's a Berserker or something. Amusing how Hearthstone decided to interpret that as "Let's just make him Yogg-Saron"
This is Tess without the terrible downside of random generated cards or mirror matchs.
The only thing for not start a call for nerf before release is the right cost of 10 manas for a card like that, anything less than that and this card will be absurd OP.
And don't forgot hunter have a insanely OP DK already, can play control now and don't worry about the value war.
no
I... just no
Spell hunter was already tier 1/2
(Refill hunter's board and destroy some opponent's minions)
So unoriginal.
So uncreative.
More boring than Frost Lich lina and Bloodreaver Gul'dan.
Yes, yes, I know I know, hero power sucks, but hey, it's the battlecry what you need.
I like elementals and totems.
Let see...
Kill x2 random opponent minions.
Summon x2 or x4 animal companion.
Kill the left and the right minion on the board.
Play 5 secrets.
Gain 5 armor.

You mean what a balanced Hero Power, that's how every HP should be.
Throw some Deadly Shots and Crushing Walls into the mix, and you'll destroy all enemy minions.
That video was amazing.

The Hero Power is so boring!!... yes he throws axes but still. They could have at least give the HP Overkill and a small little effect on the way.
Though I really like his Battlecry
I had the same Idea

Really boring, even down to the card art. Was hoping for less control Hunter support. Dk will still be run over this until dk cycles out.
Ok. I said this was very good, but I changed my mind.
If played right this card is:
drawgeneration. (Secret Plan, maybe even Cybertech Chip)How is your opponent ever going to come back from that?
Everyone is so fixated on how much worse the HP is from Gul'Dan that they don't see how much BETTER the battlecry is.

I was hoping to see an end to spell Hunter. Guess that ain't happening
