I wish it wasn't 800 dust to craft this, I think it'd be interesting to test out in decks like Odd Rogue or Odd Paladin. It's not going to be better than Fungalmancer, but Cobalt Scalebane? Captain Greenskin? Regardless, Fungal and Cobalt will rotate next set, and this might be worth revisiting.
5-mana 6/5 isn't a 4-mana 7/7 by any means, but it's a good deal taller than most of the other minions in these decks which often go wide. But dropped on turn 5, this might not be something an opponent can clear, due to Ogre RNG, and neither deck really cares that much about taking face damage.
But, even when the pool of 5-drops is weaker, isn't this essentially just Stranglethorn Tiger? The +1 attack matters, and the attack-protection lasts after this attacks, but it might not work. It's really hard to be sure, without playing with it, without in-game testing. And testing is a huge dust investment for something that could easily be not-good.
Kind of a high rolly card, on one hand, your opponent not being able to clear this could be extremely useful but the 50% could not go off, which wouldn't be too optimal. All in all though, a interesting card, I likey.
There's no safe bet I'd be up against a deck that would kill this minion with an attack instead of a spell. Also, I'd need another minion on the board to have a chance of triggering this minion's effect.
I dont think all those who are calling this only as a 'meme' card really thought it through. It's a decent card and really good in arena. Love the fact that your opponent can smack themselves in the face
