Regenerate good for Wild Razakus Priest (how I miss that deck..), increasing its OTK damage potential, while being situationally good with Auchenai or Lyra.
For ex: Spawn of Shadows, HP (6), Embrace the Shadow, HP (6), Regenerate (3), HP (6), discounted Flash Heal (5), HP (6) --> only here you have 32dmg but with the possibility of more Emperor discounts in the Spawn, Embrace the Darkness or even using some Radiant Elementals you could fit more 0 mana spells for more HPs.
Not sure if it's gonna be more efficient than Malygos or other OTKs, but old Razakus wasn't meta breaker for no reason. It was versatile and had a fair winrate against everything.
WRONG. It can when auchenai (or another deal damage instead of healing) is on board. It does NOT show in the card text, but when it deals damage, it is affected by Spell damage.
Believe me, in GvG i often had a minion with Velen's Chosen out when i used the Auchenai + Circle of Healing Combo, and actually dealed 5 damage (and destroyed the auchenai too). Had enough losses of game because i forgot that Velen's chosen increase the spell damage by 1
A number of those cards have seen mainstream competitive play multiple times. I don't think you're making the point that you think you are.
Only when they have a very specific role in a very specific synergy. Shadowstep? Rouge quest. Inner Rage? OTK warrior. Moonfire?OTK with Malygos. What is the game-breaking synergy with Regenerate? Auchenai Soulpriest? Is a two-card 4-mana 3/5 deal 3 damage any good?

Also Maly Druid is one of the best decks in the game right now and it's because of Moonfire being a 0-cost spell. I don't know if you were playing Hearthstone before the Standard/Wild split but Control Priest used to run double Auchenai double Circle as well as double Flash Heal for its flexibility. I do think Regenerate has a place in a control style deck but it's 0-cost and Auchenai synergy means it opens up new combo possibilities.

It does when you combine it with Velen/Maly from cloning gallery. Or anduin for a free ping.

This. Priest would beat decks (specifically I'm thinking about Warlock) because it could Priestess+Zombie Chow+Flash Heal+Circle for game.
This is definitely pushing OTK Priest in Wild, no matter Velen/Malygos one or Razakus.
It's a substitute for Circle of Healing that can heal Injured Blademaster, leaving 4/6 on turn 3. I'm not speaking about replacing the Circle, you can run them both to make the deck more consistent.
It also deals 3 damage for free with Auchenai Soulpriest. If you don't believe that 3 damage for 0 mana is super powerful, look at Backstab, which is a staple in almost all Rogue decks.
It's amazing with Lyra the Sunshard. Heal/damage a bit and get a random spell for free.

You mean like: Upgraded Diamond Spellstone into Auchenai Soulpriest, Malygos and Prophet Velen: Deal 16 damage. Not sure if it's good enough yet, but somebody will try this combo.
What people are forgetting is always: 0 mana spells that can target the enemy hero are always insane.
Also: this card might be not a good card to put in a deck. Still it's a really strong card: It spoils the rogue card pool, it helps your card pool, and it's a fricking cycle in Lyra the Sunshard: Heal for 3, cost 0 and draw another card: and even if you get another Regenerate, it's free, no matter what you have.
In the end: silence was played, moonfire was played: never undererestimate 0 mana spells.
This card adds a fair bit of consistency to a Healy priest deck with matriarch, soup vendor, probably auchenai. It's still sort of a tough sell because of the meta. But it's looking better.
This card is AWESOME to pull from Lyra the Sunshard. It's a free spot heal that cycles for another card you might actually need. Won't be in anything constructed besides Auchenai Soulpriest shenanigans, but that's okay.

Freezing Potion says hello XD We'll see about this card. The spellstone combo is pretty hard to set up, but we'll see, I'm not ruling this card out just yet. It might find a spot. If not right now, maybe in a future expansion.

That doesn't counter argue anything though. Freezing Potion wouldn't be played even if it GAVE you mana; the completely useless effect simply isn't worth the deck slot.
Regenerate is not restricted to minions and has synergy that has already proven to be strong.

You can't ignore 0 cost spells, but I wonder how many decks would prefer to run this over Circle of Healing.

Put in Emperor Thaurissan and Spawn of Shadows, get down Raza the Chained ASAP, try to get as many Emperor discounts as possible while preparing for the OTK turn.

You can just go Zerek's Cloing Gallery + double Regenerate for 32 instead.

Oh, Priest is now Miracle Rogue. All we need now are coins. Oh wait, Gilded Gargoyle.

In Wild it heals for 6 on turn four with Priest of the Feast.

Blizzard pushing a new(ish) Dragon Soul or Lyra the Sunshard miracle priest archetype, with Grave Horror and Sand Drudge, among (likely) others. On one hand, seems weak. On the other, never underestimate the shenanigans priest and a miracle deck can do, especially when you have Test Subject and Radiant Elimental. Don't forget Zerek, Master Cloner and other Boomsday cards (Extra Arms) that didn't make the cut.
That doesn't counter argue anything though. Freezing Potion wouldn't be played even if it GAVE you mana; the completely useless effect simply isn't worth the deck slot.

Boring utility.
Dibbity don't touch that!
Definitely excited to try this out in a lyra deck, not sure if it'll be strong but definitely can't wait to experiment!
That's Incredible!
I like the card, 0 mana card is powerful especially in combo. I will most probably adjust my OTK Priest deck to be like this:
Currently playing in R4-R3 (standard) with todays OTK deck.
edit: misread your post.
