Captain Hooktusk + 5 Southsea Captains = 11/8 +5 7/7s. Good for memes... maybe follow up with more by doing baneful banker on [card]Captain Hooktusk[/card] next turn - or shadow step lab recruiter on both Captains

Actually, there's nothing memey about that combo, you don't even need nothing besides one southsea captain and lab recruiter on turn five, turn six vanish to clear the board, turn 7 coin out this and ta-da, 9/6 + 3 x 5/5, good luck clearing that.
ehh not so good rush is pretty bad for agro decks which pirates are , play this wait for next turn to attack and sir you have gotten brawled , nethered, flamestriked/blizzard/d-fury, dusk breakered and now you are out of pirates in a pirate deck really weak card and underwhelming.
i mean there is a tempo deck named keletess which uses tess. and tess requires used stolen cards. without stolen cards tess waits in your hand which makes her a dead draw.
im pretty sure this will be used in same manner. ill definetly craft her and play her in wild.
If it gave Charge instead of Rush, it would be a legit win condition. But Rush is pretty useless for pirates because they die after they trade with almost anything. And if they don't, any AoE will clear them along with the legendary itself.
Now, I am not saying that this card is as good as UI. There are a ton of reasons why UI is a lot better. But giving an omnipresent class like Rogue something that is in the same ball park as UI is going to work.

I see what you're saying but I don't know if this is an accurate comparison. The condition for UI - get to 10 mana and don't have more than 5 cards in your hand - is much easier than the condition for this card - don't draw your other pirates except this one.

Yeah - That's why I tried to make it clear that UI was a much better card, because it is. It's far more simple. But the comparison isn't apples to oranges because the results can be similar.
I think it will come down to how many and what types of Pirates need to be included.

Probably Nightmare Amalgam. With all of the card draw, does Lab Recruiter see play? What else is being released (I'm sure there are a few more pirates).
If this was happening in another class, I'd be more skeptical. But Rogue is always good because it can do so many unique things. Even the bad rogue decks are still better than many others. There's probably going to be a way forward with this card.

I like Cursed Castaway better, as it draws specific cards from your deck unconditionally. That said, I think we're going to need other synergies before this card is considered good. Rush is a mechanic that allows you to board control and swing the tempo back in your favor - and with this card, that's happening later in the game than Rogue wants to be - and furthermore, a control style Rogue has never been a thing outside of Mill/Kingsbane, which it doesn't look like this card will fit into.

Ticket Scalper may look good to pull with Captain Hooktusk but what about you draw it before? She is a garbage card alone, keep that in mind. Southsea Captain is the only pirate i can see right now with real good Hooktusk synergy.

How about a non aggro pirate deck? 6/3 + 3/4 + 3/4 (the all tribes minions) + 3/3 taunt is very good for 8 manas.
Needs more good pirates in Standard or else pretty meh.

now all we need is either a:
1) solid 4-6 cost pirate
2) a pirate that deathrattle draws a card
3) charge
If it gave Charge instead of Rush, it would be a legit win condition. But Rush is pretty useless for pirates because they die after they trade with almost anything. And if they don't, any AoE will clear them along with the legendary itself.

This card is really good. People who are trying to figure out why it's bad are trying too hard.
