Stats are too low imo. You need to kill something with 4 HP to get the effect to go off, and by turn 8 if you're playing against Control, then that's hard to do and against Aggro this card is hardly something you'll be able to do that late in the game.
True but Warrior does have buff spells
Inner Rage is the only one you can combo same turn, and at that point why not Grommash for the 12/8 that can go face rather than a 7/4 that probably died trading, and best case a 6/8 2 mana follow up, with 8/(<8) being a possiblity if that decided to trade. While a 9/9 Crowley might be a nice follow up next turn, you still need to wait a turn before you can threaten face. Grommash just seems like a superior option for most decks that want to dominate board and put pressure on.
For those of you keeping track, Oondasta can now fit into at least 4 classes: the already existing Deathrattle Hunter, Big Beast Druid, a support card for Paladin decks running Shirvallah, the Tiger, and now this Rush package in Warrior decks.
Never mind the fact that Akali immediately impacts the board even when you just cast it outright. Never mind the fact that there exist a few cards to cheat this out from either your hand or your deck. Never mind that the card draw tutors out specifically Rush minions, and even the fact that even the stats it gives out are fast as well. If this stays alive, all of that applies again next turn. This is a tremendous tempo swing and win condition that Warrior would absolutely build around.
This is what Rush needed in Warrior.
Its not a win condition, its a board control option. Even the buffed Rush minion will just clear a minion and then get removed the next turn.
A lot of cool ideas were being tossed arround, like deal the overkill damage to all minions since it’s a charging Rhino, but we ended up with an improved version of Don Han’Cho. *Hits blunt
I wonder if Dr Boom's effect means the mechs in your deck have rush, too?
i'm sure this was answered, but no. technically they dont. they must have the keyword on them to be buffed by this.
They don't in your deck or hand, minions that gained rush on board count as rush minions (ok this has nothing to do with Akali, but warrior has buffs for rush minions on board so, if you know this, it can save you a game)
The rush package of the warrior got that much better. A tempo-oriented warrior with rush minions utilizing the overkill mechanic maybe?

Darius Crowley all over again. By which I mean a very powerful card that is underrated because it should be part of a well-oiled machine instead of being clearly game-breaking by itself. This does mean it may not see play if the other parts are not there, but that doesn't mean the card itself isn't very powerful.
This ALWAYS overkills. It has rush, so if it does not overkill you are being an idiot. This card does three things all at once:
Kills a midrange or utility minion. (Worth 3 mana)
Tutors a rush card (Worth 1-2 mana. Town Crier is insane)
Buffs that card by +5/+5. (Worth 4 mana) (Note that a +5/+5 buff on a rush minion is a lot more valuable)
Does it all in one card.
Additionally, in some cases it:
Will often survive while doing all of this so it may need additional removal from your opponent.
There is a sweet 10 mana combo possible. Have Overlord's Whip equipped when you play him or activate Blood Razor after playing him, then cast Rampage on him. Then he's an 8/7 with rush. He can overkill then and also have a better chance to live and maybe survive behind taunt.
As long as he gets his overkill off the high mana cost pays off with the card draw and the massive buff on a rush minion. +5/+5 on a rush minion is very powerful.
This card is really unimpressive given the current rush options. If it had windfury, I would reconsider (2 value-trades + draw 2 + give a hand minion +10/+10 for 8-mana is legendary-level powerful in most classes not named druid), but even then large taunt minions just render this card unplayable in many late-game board states (e.g. they play The Lich King on 8 and then you try to follow up with this). To put it into perspective, this is an 8-mana Scaleworm against anything with 5 or more health.
I wonder if Dr Boom's effect means the mechs in your deck have rush, too?
Nope. It draws a "rush minion" which means it has rush card text. It is the same as how N'Zoth would not revive minions that were granted deathrattle by stuff like ancestral spirit.
I still think Grommash is too good for the 8 mana slot in a board centric deck, the option to go face is too good

This is still a decent card though

Release the Kraken!
Well Don Han'Cho is crying, more than usual
You don't draw them with Town Crier currently, so I assume no.

Can't wait to see the K/DA skin for this one! They say he trains all the Town Criers...

If you have played Untamed Beastmaster first, this gets +2/+2 when drawn.
That helps a lot.
Well you can put Grommash in the deck too...

Underwhelming but if you play any Rush version of Warrior you got to include this one. If you play the dragon version though this card has no place
This guy I think ate Don Hancho!

Well I mean it'll be unplayable in a recruit deck for sure...
Probably something to do with boosting the stats of rush minions is my guess. 1 drop 0/3, rush minions have +2 attack. Something like that.
Weak in stats, but for sure better than Shirvmeme
This is a meta-defining card and the most interesting they reveal so far imo, it has lots of potential.
It definitely has potential but Rush Warrior didn't take off and I'm not sure this card will push it enough.
