I have had some fun with Totem Cruncher lately. I'm glad to see it get some more support, however, I am starting to get worried about the general power level of the Overkill cards. They seem a little too fair and weak considering Overkill is the sole new keyword this expansion. I like the potential Overkill has. I believe it can be almost as good as Lifesteal, but Overkill is going to need to represented beyond this expansion like Lifesteal or Rush, and given some more truly meta defining cards.
Really bad. No one would add elven archer or arcane shot to their deck, so why this?
Flexibility is worth something + this Elven Archer is influenced by spellpower and has totem synergies Also, you are so wrong about "no one would add arcane shot to their deck". Malygos is a card.
I don't think we'll see any Malygos shaman in this meta simply because Skulking Geist completely destroys that and shudderwork looks a better way to go for the "I stall and then I win type of deck". But after that (if Malygos won't be rotated out) this can be a thing
It really depends on the meta on this particular card. 1 mana for 2 damage with a chance to get a Totem isn't bad. Druid had something similar before (but I am not sure if it was used because that was before my time).
What's up with Blizz and their need for random basic totems? Totem Shaman is dead since Thunder Bluff Valiant departed and it won't come back, regardless if they keep printing cards such as Primal Talismans or not. This card does nothing vs. most decks except other Shamans or Odd Paladin, even worse than Lightning Bolt in most match-ups and Aggro (not the usual Even) Shaman? Even in Wild it's not that fearsome anymore! LUL, try again.

Shaman has access to a lot of easy spell power in the early game, and it doesn't have overload. Plus this adds some consistency to totem shaman. That's the main reasons I can think of.
It can also just be used as a smite/moonfire style card in a malygos-shaman deck.
Blizzard was so afraid of Freeze and Maligos Mage that they rotated Ice Lance out of Standard and made her new 2-damage spell cost 2.
Then they printed a 2-damage spell for 1 for another class that doesn't even need Alexstrasza for its combo and can pull it off in a single turn without Emperor Thaurissan. You are so consistent, Blizz...
Sadly there won't be the board space to get double Al'Akir the Windlord from the Murmuring Elemental into Windshear Stormcaller (4 basic totems+murmuring+windshear leave just one space for the alakir unless you would find a way to remove the elemental without taking a board space which seems too hard for the combo to be worth it)
Good thinking and if it Overkill's all three minions does it summon three totems. Food for thought.
I see this being a decent small buff to Hagatha, since its another easy to burn none overload spell
..
This goes well with Zentimo
And with Malygos

If it's random, meh. If it summons one that isn't already on board this is maaaassive

It's a pretty easy early game ok to achieve reward seems good enough
I created a better version of this card a week ago:
Noone will care about that overkill. It's just damage that can and WILL go face.

In case you needed more evidence for how utterly terrible Icicle is...
Good card!

Card: pretty cool, Artwork: Priceless!
