Ah now this is more the power level of the Paladin cards I'm used to.
Yes, it's trash.
For the record there's a 4 mana 3/3 weapon (in Rogue) that sees no play. When that doesn't see play, it seems reasonable to guess the weapon by itself isn't good enough on its own (even if different classes and so forth). Then you add one mana on it and the Overkill keyword, but the Overkill keyword isn't going to trigger consistently enough for this to nearly make up for its overcostedness. Very doubtful.
People who are shouting Equality and Shrink Ray haven't played Paladin. The more reasonable thing is to think about how often this would proc ina regular combat situation.
i play very much handbuff in wild, and in standard when handbuff cards were legal, so... this card is bad even in wild handbuff. almost always i want to play the most overstatsed minion every time i hit turn 5, removal like this in handbuff is more useful in turn 3 (is cathartic have one in that turn with that deck)
Arena only. The problem with this card is that there are too many taunt minions in constructed and they almost all have more than 3 health. You won't be able to hit the minions you want to. So unless you are pairing this card with Equality then you will not get the effect. That pairing seems bad anyway.
Been experimenting with Immortal Prelate Paladin, and I really like this card. Faster then Val'anyr. You can almost always get amazing value from this card, combines nicely with the small minions in the deck, Silver Hand Recruit and even Equality.
As I thought, it’s not complete trash ( voted playable) .
In those 5 games in wich I decided to put in one copy for extra board stability in my midrange healmechpaladin, it was surprisingly decent. Besides one time I was always able to overkill something... So the value is there.
But unfortunately it’s just too many Weapons and spells in my hand . So I didn’t always had a buff target. And the most buffed minion was Pyromancer , because I held him for combos ... I hoped to buff Eggs ( wich happened a couple times) and Zilleax ( wich happened never) .
Truesilver champion just turns out to be way better than other paladin weapons that get printed, same goes for this one. The buffs just aren't really worth the effort when you can just run something like Blessing of Kings instead where you don't have to go out of your way just to overkill.

Perhaps with a weapon buff it could be decent? Hard to say if it's worth the effort.
A paladin weapon needs to be 4 damage or more. Almost entirely because of rogue's guaranteed manbearpig hench-clan thug.
