Why do they print these trash legendaries? I get there has to be filler content but why not make awesome legendaries to get people excited to buy packs? No one wants to open this. Who the fuck designed this? Utterly discombobulating.
Technically it can be good with Mill effects like Naturalize, generally good against Evenlock or any archetype that tends to have huge hand, Really good after druids UI, cause most of the time his hand is full or at 9. This card definitely has potential, the stats are not that bad too.
Griftah's getting included into the game and has a PERFECT effect for him!
Haha, this is wonderful! Crappy as all heck but on the flipside, can be quite good - much like Griftah!
For those of you who don't know: Griftah is a vendor who deals with various different trinkets. Such as the Problem Solving Pendant, the Charm of Potent and Powerful Passions, Infallible Tikbalang Ward, Stone of Stupendous Springing Strides and of course... his two greatest merchandise...
A Hula Girl Doll and Soap on a Rope.
He's been a recurring character ever since we first saw him in The Burning Crusade and have sold many, many more things over the years! Some of which are actually quite nice, such as Authentic Troll Shoes that allows you to transmog your boots so they aren't visible in-game. Not to mention to Rogues he has had several quests where you go around pickpocketing various different kinds of coins to turn them in to him for a sum of gold that can wary from expansion to expansion... and if you do it twice in a week, the second time he gives you 1 copper.
Griftah is THE troll character who is a drifter and thus' a perfect opportunity to troll the living heck outta of whoever plays him in-game... and receives a gift from the opponent.
Since you folks seem to be rather confused or find this card lacking... let me tell you a story, of a troll who had a dream...
"Welcome mon, to da' place where legends be made... Just look, dese' tings' are trinkets of great powah'!", said the troll to the adventurer who had journeyed into Shattrath's lower districts where vendors of all shades of shady lingered.
"Look! Dis' be a great necklace, it'll help you find as pretty tings' as dis'!", Griftah said as he held out a Talisman of True Treasure Tracking... didn't seem very magical but who knows, maybe it would work?
"Ah... but dere' be more, you are looking for passion I see!", Griftah continued and threw the previous necklace behind him and held out instead a Charm of Potent and Powerful Passions. Looked nothing out of the ordinary but hey, if Gritah said it would work then ...
"WAIT! You are seeking the greatest treasures are you not?! Then look upon... dese' ... WONDERS!", Griftah yelled out and threw the charm away when his arms tossed it up into the sky! Fell down a few yards away and a rat scurried off with it but as the adventurer turned around... he was presented with two amazing items!
A Hula Girl Doll that he needed to finish his flying machine and some Soap on a Rope because... who doesn't want some Soap of a Rope?!
...
If this doesn't explain the card then I don't think anything will! ^^
OK, I know Russian and I went and watched the reveal video.
Silvername says that, indeed, you keep both and your opponents gets a copy of one. But I am very unsure that he isn't wrong. Because in that form this card is BROKENLY good. Every non-odd non-aggro deck will want to play it.

If there is true than the value is not as bad as what it seems to be. However, I'll believe it when I see it.
If it is this case it makes the card a decent one, and to be honest, gives an answer (to me at least) why it has been ranked as legendary. I would not name it broken nevertheless.

1 min ago I was excited to read Griftah's name and to see a WoW character again. But this is just a mockery. I have seen way more fitting designs from users in the WCDCs, but this is an utter disappointment from the dev team.
Yet another card in the "pls RNG, don't let me open this legendary from a pack" pile.
It's not that bad actually. You can usually pick cards which are more useful to you than to your opponent. e.g against aggro you can take aoe, as they would have nothing to do with it if they get it, or even a taunt is better for you. And in other matchups you can take class cards that synergize with your deck, like a warrior taking Shield Slam. This is pretty similar to Spellslinger, which was pretty decent, only that you can choose the cards, which is sort of an upside.
That being said, it's not good enough for constructed. Kinda fun for arena I guess.
This is probably the Peter Whalen's favourite card of the set
New priest legendary fuel? Mecha'thun counter? Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe make the opponent burn a card?
Really don't see much point running this card....

The long-awaited support for Princess Talanji! kappa
Plain bad what if the two cards are velen and grommash
give me the fuckin' kitty and not this garbage
best case scenario, discover griftah for your opponent
and he like "well, shit..."

Blizzard make mistake to make common card into Legendary
Top 3 Favorite Cards: 1. Emperor Thaurissan | 2.Dr. Boom | 3.Ragnaros the Firelord
When you see how much effort goes into each card, you have to wonder why the hell they wasted their time on this stupid effect.
Perhaps someone is pissed they didn't get invited to second dinner.

Bishop Benedictus would be a perfect counter vs mechathun to discover for you oppenent. :)
Irredeemable trash. I know I'll open this piece of crap in my pre-order...
At random? if you could choose the card to your opponent this card could see some play
Can confirm Silvername said you get 2 cards and opponent will get 1. So this is definitely not a bad card, really powerful I would say even.
Excuse me?!?! WTF IS THIS SHIT?
