1 min ago I was excited to read Griftah's name and to see a WoW character again. But this is just a mockery. I have seen way more fitting designs from users in the WCDCs, but this is an utter disappointment from the dev team.
Yet another card in the "pls RNG, don't let me open this legendary from a pack" pile.
I can sometimes agree with this but... how can you NOT think this card is PERFECT for Griftah?!
I even told his story of the great merchandise a bit earlier of his assortment of Hula Girl Dolls and Soap on a Rope!
Sorry but... this is an amazing card! Not good mind you, but an amazing one that fits Griftah's personality PERFECTLY! ^^
I will edit my comment after seeing Maximal's post.
I know the character dude, I played wow and I still play it. I just said that I have seen "more fitting" designs for him:
Can confirm Silvername said you get 2 cards and opponent will get 1. So this is definitely not a bad card, really powerful I would say even.
But is he sure or is that just speculation on his side?
That's what developers told him. You will discover 2 cards from your class/neutral, minion/spell/weapon etc. You get 2 of those cards and opponent will get 1 of them.
So, obviously this card is not good at a base level and I'd be hardpressed to say that it really is any good. However, a few things to keep in mind. There will be a lot of scenarios where you will be able to play the card you discovered right away, giving you the advantage. Since you are choosing the card, you can make sure you don't give your opponent a card that synergizes with their deck. For instance, if you put this in a priest deck and were going up against aggro, you could pick something like spirit lash and binding heal (not that I think that priest is the best spot for this guy). You can use him in conjunction with some kind of mill deck. You can use him to get one last push against Mechathun (especially potent with some kind of card generation given to your opponent)....maybe you can use him as a way to setupanti hand size stuff too....
Yeah, this will be bad. It's a shame too because this kind of card is really skill intensive.
The possibility of using this to overdraw and delay Mechathun is incredibly fringe, also you might end up giving the one you need to your opponent, i don’t know why you would ever run this card.

Check out my Earth, Wind, and Fire - Elemental Shaman deck!
Not even remotely close. This card is a yeti with a small upside. Yeti's just aren't relevant anymore. Boogeymonster was a big stats win condition that cost 8 mana, was way too difficult to setup properly, and would have been better as an 8/9 with no ability (which still would have been worse than this card by a mile).

what it should really do is you get to see 2 sets of 3 cards each, pick 1 for either set. choose randomly which one you get from the 2 chosen ones of each set
because how in the hell can you give a card at random to your opponent when you already picked 2. there is only 1 other option...

If that really is true, then dare I say that this card goes from meh to meta?

In this case the wording is very bad. When I give sth. to sb. I don't have it afterwards.
One of the most intelligently designed cards to be able to use estimated value driven RNG by selecting what you would get most value out and your opponents known deck, archetype or class (...depending on your deep investment in the game..) as little a possible.
Certain decks can really make great use out of it. Like a Malygos deck taking 2 low damage cheap spells, that can go face maybe, would be gamewinning in most cases. It's probably unlikly enough to find strong ways that aren't fringe playable competitively, but still will give you interesting choices and could creaty a very out-of-the-box kind of playstyle that povoke deck creativity on the very least. Also gives a fun way to test loads of cards on their powerlevel in certain situations, giving the option to play with a rich selection of cards,
Will certainly test it when I grap it from a pack. For crafting I would wait this one out though.
I do not think it's as bad as everyone thinks. Nothin OH MY GOD AMAZING, but not so garbage. It's waaaaaay better than a Harbinger Celestia or a Nat Pagle or a Millhouse. There is some strategy involved in the use of this.

Remember playing Control Shaman with Reincarnate shenanigans? No? It was fun, here's a refresher!
You discover 2 cards and get to keep both, your opponent gets to add a copy of 1 of those cards to their hand at random. This card is actually pretty good.
Well Spellslinger saw play in tempo mage, it's effect was totally random, and sometimes it fucked you as this probably will sometimes do when you play it
Here we have a neutral version of that card, where you can at least control which cards are added to both players, not who gets each one, but it isn't completely rng. this could see play.

Legitimately worse than Boogeymonster.

clarify your damn writing, blizzard
It's fine until sheeple stop paying this nonsense, gj blizz!

Yeah exactly, on the very least this is a chillwind yeti with a mini-game.

+1
more rng is bad
The variance seems way to high for viability
there is garbage, then there is this card
