So far the main thing this does is make Dragon Priest even more nuts in Wild since you don’t even have to change any cards you just add this Legendary in. You play your Netherspite Historians and you’re dropping 2 big dragons at the very least on turn 8.
That just creates weird situations: let's say me an my opponent both have Lich King out, he Psychic Screams. I draw a Lich King, how can I tell if it started in my deck or not? There is no such feedbak in the game right now. That's why I'm thinking it might apply to all copies of a monster that was in your starting deck, the wording could mean that.
I think I'm one of the few that don't really see the benefit of this in relation to the other cards for Priest that have been revelead. With Bwonsamdi, the Dead you'll draw a lot of minions but as they only cost 1 mana, I rather play them when the time is right instead of having them all summoned by Princess Talanji at once.
Oh, I agree with you. Bwonsamdi, the Dead with the Spirit of the Dead does everything that you need to do. There is no point of summoning your reduced cards all at once, just to be board wiped by the enemy on their turn. Princess Talanji would work better for Steal Priest but even Steal Priest doesn't make that much minions in order to justify having Talani in your deck.
Yeah, Princess Talanji is not a great card, especially something that the Priest needs.
This ain’t a great card? LMAO are you mad? This might actually end up being the most busted card of the expansion that might need a nerf and nevermind how stupid this will be in Wild dropping huge dragons and shit you got from Thoughtsteal and other sources. Only thing you do is select the biggest shit on all your discovers and it’s a doomsday turn 8.
@Bresson74: They can tell which card was in your starting deck. There are plenty of ways to do that in the background. Maybe all cards have a property which can be true or false, and at the start of the game your cards recieve true. Their default state is false. If the variable is false, then it wasn't in your starting deck. Or anything like that, it's just a simple example.
Maybe in a minion deck with bwonsamdi, spirits, lady in white deathrattles and big fragons/dragon synergy cards? But probably too Slow/little value in such a deck.
Problem is that priest would need early game minions to survive the early game.
Voted bad. Has strong meme potential but waay too slow lol
Play your 1 drop Oracle, on turn 3 Stonehill Defender discovering the bullshit 4/8 lifesteal taunt or Lich King, try to do a thoughtsteal or something else in between turns 4 & 7, turn 8 laugh and win the game with no skill or effort in classic Hearthstone style.
in Wild it gets even more skillful because on turn 2 with your Historian you can add a disgusting dragon as well to the mix.
Meme, just like every single card revealed for priest so far. Absolute garbage.
Copying minions is largely random. Takes time and resource because the two 'good' spells for this effect cost an arm and a leg. Meanwhile they expect us to actually get good minions with those cards, have those cards not rely upon battlecries. Not play said minions, so somehow live after playing those bad spells and not using what you get. Then have this one of card in your deck to make those terrible decisions possibly not terrible. It's random upon random upon chance upon rng. Garbage.
Priest sucks. Really, really sucks. And I mean really sucks. And THIS, this and all the other meme cards it got are supposed to make a whole years worth of useless cards suddenly work.
Just delete the class already. It's clear blizzard doesn't play test it, nor care about it.

This is an extremely powerful card, I'm just not sure where... Through the last several metas, we've seen the power of creating an overwhelming board state all at once through the dominance of deathrattle decks, as some classes (like druid) don't have any good way to deal with that sort of swing.

Aren't sapped\vanished\psychic streamed cards count as ones that didn't start in your deck?

such salt much BM.
Why is everyone mentioning Spirit of the Dead, I have strong doubts that it works, the minions it copies still started in your deck.
the copy did not start in your deck .....

Getting this card in renounce warlock gonna be insane.

Of course they can tell, but I said there is no feedback in game for the players, which would be really bad design.
Oh, I see. Sorry, I'm tired. :D
Yeah, your point is valid.
Edit: if you hover your mouse over Talanji she will show you the cards which are usable. But yeah, it's not the best way.

Yeah so slow bro.
another card that would be pretty good in a different class

Uh, huh. Have fun losing every single game.

WUT
This space is intentionally blank.
Nope, still counted as started if really started.
So many people are talking about Spirit of the Dead. Remember that the copies cost (1) mana, so you aren't saving yourself anything by playing this.
This is obviously made for milkshake priest.
