Honestly I don't think this card is that great. The stats aren't great and pulling a random secret from your deck might not be that great. However, the benefit of this card is that its a neutral minion.
Mad Scientist's stats weren't great and it also pulled a random secret from your deck and that card was insane. This one takes a little more setup so it is not as broken as Mad Scientist, but it is still pretty insane.
I'm luke warm on this card. It's a powerful curve play in hunter so that's where I think we'll see this card show up. Turn 2 secret, turn 3 Masked contender which pulls another secret seems pretty good. But your opponent gets a turn in between where they can proc the secret and then your turn 3 curve play is a 2/4 with no effect which kinda sucks. I guess it makes sense in Subject 9 deck but doesn't seem OP.
most of the time, proc a hunter secret on 2 it's not a good idea. u can proc a wondering monster and summons a 3 drop.
Might see play in Wild Aggro Secret Mage, as it has potential to be a strong tempo play with/after Kabal Lackey. Wild Combo Mage may also run this because once you have an Ice Block up, it will always fetch Ice Barrier, giving you 8 armor. Or it can be played to same turn as Ice Barrier to fetch Ice Block.
It's probably a bit too slow for an Aggro Hunter with secrets, as it's not aggressively statted and makes you spend a lot of mana without pressuring opponent. Midrange Secret Hunter wants to play his secrets from hand to upgrade his Spellstone, so this card probably won't see play there either.
Will see play in secret hunter since it fits their curve nicely. Might see play in mage as they run less secrets, therefore can control the outcome of whats coming out.

To be fair, most of my T2 secrets tend to stay up until T3. Cat Trick seems to take awhile to trigger against aggro while things like Wandering Monster, Freezing Trap and Explosive Trap can be up for awhile against control.
It should be good, I mean, play secret on 2, play this on 3, but apparently it isn't. No idea why.
I guess because it does not trigger spellstone & secretkeeper
My initial reaction is that you're partly right. Considering that the main Hunter decks running secrets right now are Midrange/Spell Hunter leads me to believe that this is also less valued. From a tempo standpoint, you want to be able to play a secret for 2-mana and then following up with this on the next turn.
Because it costs 3-mana, it almost guarantees you'll never see this in Mage. Additionally, I don't think a lot of Paladin decks are running secrets generally, at least not ones that start in the deck. That would make this card useless to Paladins, too. I could be wrong about all the above, though. I'm a tiny bit out of touch with what's meta right now.
Interestingly enough this might not trigger every time since it will not fetch copies. I believe it's strong, but not op
Occasionally gives helpful advice.
Gotta activate that Wandering Monster now I suppose

While this seems better in mage and hunter for the value, I also dig it in paladin with Bellringer Sentry for deck thinning.
It amazes me the way people can so horribly misinterpret card text

cool card wee

Meta defining for sure

It is very strong. That makes the most common way to react on hunter secrets on turn 2 (don't attack face) a questionable play.
Merely having some hunters playing this on the ladder makes all hunter secrets better even for guy who won't run this.
Very good card. It'll definitely spice up Secret Hunter decks some more.

He sounds like he is from Tatooine when you play him. Like he works fro Jabba the Hut or something....
"En chakka nu jawa"

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

It is a good card in the right deck. If thins your deck and gives you a 4 health minion
