What then do you think the average situation will be that makes this a good card?
It's probably going to be trading off the board with 2 or 3 low mana minions and then redeveloping them with this.
Again, you seem to think that Cube Hunter is the Hunter that should play this. It isn't.
It's early-mid game board control. This card is more akin to Flametongue Totem in how it should be used than it is play dead. Both suck when you don't have board, but both let you get board, and that's what gets you to the win.

You aren't really gaining much in that situation. It's a 1 to 1 and sometimes 1 to 2 card advantage, but really nothing to be super excited about. CERTAINLY is not meta defining or "day 1 nerf" like most people are saying.
Again, I think this is just an overhyped trap card.

This card is going to signal the return of spell hunter as a tier 1 deck. Spell hunter already has some very dangerous on-curve plays with spellstone possibly being the best card in Hearthstone. Now, instead of just trying to rush down the face, they can actually trade in their wolves or hounds and then re-summon for 2 mana? Hell, even if this card just re-summons Huffer it's still an insane value. I don't think it'll make its way into deathrattle hunter though. The list is too tight.

Think about how a hunter plays traditionally, they spam the board...this will serve as the one thing hunter lacks, card draw. Out of fear you will have to clear a hunters board, big taunts are no longer good enough, matching them with minions or any sort does not work. The second you leave a hunter in a vaguely equal position on the board this comes down for 2 mana and its over, you are miles behind. It's one of the most insane win more cards we've ever seen, and you don't even really need to be 'winning' to take advantage, just some board presence of any sort will be enough. Hunters may well go all in on beasts because of this card, and it'll be back to mid-range, hybrid beast hunter domination.
This next expansion is going to be painful to play because of the annoying power cards.
This card IS a win-more card, but it is so cheap that you can get value out of it by simply resurrecting a 2-drop. Later in the game so many shenanigans possible. Ugh.
They need to make a category above "Meta Defining" to describe cards like this, pre-nerf corridor creeper, and the original pre-nerf #1 rogue quest--we should call this class "Meta-Deforming Mistake." To put this into perspective, I would be happy with this card if it cost 5-6 mana as opposed to 2, because even then it would let you do stupid things. A 2-mana targeted mass revive is RIDICULOUS in any class, but in hunters it is particularly powerful because they can Zombeast up giant monsters, make value trades, and then revive their entire board.
I disagree with you on almost everything you said.
First, I don't think this card is meta defining. It's a really good card that slots perfectly into a deck that has already proven to be viable and it's going to be REALLY strong. But I don't think that 3 months from there's going to be a deck called "Revenge Hunter." Having to kill the beasts on your own turn before being able to re-summon them definitely limits the potential combo applications of this card and shifts it to a more value focused card.
Second, this card would be ABSOLUTELY TRASH if it was 5-6 mana. It's a mistake to look at the high roll opportunities of a card and be blinded to the average outcome. One of the best possible outcomes for this card would be to re-summon a Savannah Highmane. If the card cost 5 mana then that's only a 1 mana discount off of the actually cost of a Savanah Highmane for one of the BEST outcomes. The average expected value of this card is re-summon unleash the hounds or re-summon Huffer. Both unleash and animal companion are 3 mana cards. So casting them again for 2 mana is a good value. Casting them again for 5-6 mana is not.
Finally, the card can be used to provide excellent value with Zombeasts; however, the Zombeast strategy involves choosing high cost minions and dropping those big boppers every turn for the rest of the game to out-value your opponent. So you might be able to pull off a very cheap re-summon of a nice Zombeast for 2 mana with this card but you're unlikely to be able to summon 2 or more Zombeasts. Put simply, if you've already got 2 Zombeasts surviving until your next turn, you've probably won the game already.
I'm pretty sure this will be nerfed soon after release. even if the effect was nerfed to resummon them at the end of the turn (avoiding the issue with charge/rush) it's too much value for 2 mana.
We might see OTK hunter combos...eg have King Krush and two Charged Devilsaur's in your deck, use dire frenzy and then drop Flark's Boomzooka with this sweet baby. Survival until then may be a bit tricky though :)
But as someone who has the Boomzooka I'm excited to try it out with this.

That's actually absolutely something to be excited about in a class that can't otherwise do it.

It's only slightly better than having copies of those cards in your hand, which isn't saying much.

I see this being good with zombeasts, maybe the spell stone in a secret or spell deck. I think people are overhyping it a bit but it's definitely a bit scary leaving big, valuable beasts alive with this thing in rotation.
Seems way too slow and way too greedy, only good in the late game pretty much, usually such cards never find a home.
I don't get this notion. If you go first aggro vs. Aggro, you can play this on turn 3 and 4 and get immense value out of it early game. Any time you roll a huffer or have a houndmaster up this will be insane.
This does not have to do much to pay off. Reviving anything basically does the trick in tempo match. However, vs. Control, this actually makes huge value turns possible.
So while this might be a dead card in some situations, it has highroll potential and by definition is not crazy greedy, it only costs 2
Oh man, I pretty much only play the two hunter decks on ladder, but I find this card extremely misguided. Last time I felt about a card like this (I would have never printed it) was Shudderwock, which turned out not too OP but man is it oppressive to play against..
This card should of been revealed after rotation. Right now, this makes Hunter so OP right now because Deathrattle Hunter would love to trade into enemies with no consequences. The fact that this card can singlehandedly make a meme card like Flark's Boom-Zooka playable in a small way means this card is broken by concept.
It's only slightly better than having copies of those cards in your hand, which isn't saying much.
It is though because it doesn't require you to have extra cards in your hand or pay the entire mana cost of those cards.
I know you're doubling down on this because you really like to be right, but you're off on this one.
EDIT: This is also being released in the same set as Spring Paw.
It's not that I like to be right, it's that I really believe I AM right on this. I have yet to see any good argument to the contrary. Resummoning two 1/1s with Rush for 2 mana isn't exactly high value. Getting a second Huffer after using the first for removal (on turn 5 mind you) is only slightly better than Wing Blast which sees no play (outside of sometimes 1x in Spell Hunter).

How many scrubs dusted the hunter legendary spell Flarks Boomzuka? Lol, this will be a sick interaction!
Did this card seriously just get compared to feign death?

CMV (Change My View): 3-mana "resummon Huffer and 1/1 Beast" is not a meta defining or very good card.
