I really like this card. I am really surprised that they would make such a thing for Rogue and the shark spirit. It will probably won't be competitive though because of the RNG but it seems so much fun. It should of been 6 mana 5/6 minion that is a pirate with the same battlecry. I think the stats are bad currently on it because it is odd
While this card is funny, it shouldnt be voted as "playable". Its way too costy for its effect and wont see any play in Standard. In Arena its not good either because of the Epic-tag.
I think a lot of ppl just voted too quickly on this one.
Combined with the Spirit of the Shark this could be really powerful. Not sure the combo will be reliable enough to actually see any play though - there will be some seriously trash battlecry minions in the discover pool remember!
I hate such cards because the best outcome and the worst outcome are worlds apart. It will be frustrating to receive the short end of the stick no matter if you play it or if your opponent does.
But it's probably not consistent enough to be Constructed viable, so the card will be forgotten a week after release.
There are some good neutral battlecry minions, but looking at the rogue ones, which will be the most common case, I don't think that this minion is good. Bad stats, high cost and an unreliable outcome - 1 star.
But imagine for a sec, that we see a minion, which puts itself into the discover pool. So when we discover something, this is always one of the 3 options. Maybe the rogue legendary will function like that.
This card is gonna be fun as shit with the shark spirit. Play the spirit turn 8, play this turn 9 and get two battlecry minions, then play both for 1 and double their battle cry. The card is too slow for sure, but the effect is certainly very strong Unplayable trash like Myra Rotspring becomes good, Even bad neutral battlecries like Giggling Inventor or Corpse Raiser become pretty powerful with this effect. Love to see fun stuff like this i can play with even if it isnt good
Blizzard is finally rightfully pushing for Combo/Battlecry Rogue. I always hated how they pushed for deathrattle Rogue, which is in the exact opposite direction of what the class originally meant to be about, which is Combo/battlecries and bounce effects.
Ok... Sooo. I WOULD Finish This, but really.... just go to HearthPwn's Deckbuilder for Rogue and Use the Keyword search for Battlecry cards.
SOOO many bad/specific case neutrals.
You forgot the best card, which is itself. Also tess isnt that great unless you are using this in a tess deck, which seems like a bad idea. Myra, Faldorei, Marin the Fox are the best three imo
Garbage card and here's why. First, 7+ cost minions that don't impact the state of the board are very hard to play. Aggro decks are trying to kill you on turn 7 or turn 8 and if you ignore their board and drop this steaming turd on the battlefield you get 100% wrecked the next turn, if it had taunt it might be playable but it doesn't. Secondly, it's under-statted for the cost so it's not going to put enough pressure on control decks and a 1 mana 1/1 with a random battlecry (okay it's not completely random but it's not exactly targetable) isn't enough to make up for the fact that you're playing a 7 mana 5/7. Finally, this card fits into 0 current archetypes of rogue and the new rogue cards are ALL OVER THE PLACE so I don't imagine we'll be seeing a new Rogue archetype emerge. I'm glad he's epic, that way you can be at least somewhat excited about the dust you'll get if you open a pack with this guy in it.

Just realized it's a nice "meal" for Gral, the Shark...
Looks like "Deathrattlecry rogue" will be one of my new deck... :)

This is a great value card... but Rogues can't play value game. Class without good heals and board clears can't play such cards.

How long before there's a screenshot on reddit of someone having to choose between Damaged Stegotron, Injured Blademaster and Hungry Ettin?

Is 5/7 the new 3/4?
I don't think this does nearly enough for the mana cost.
People were saying a 5 mana X/X deathrattle draw a card from your deck was unplayable. This certainly isn't.
Slower drop card: pretty great stat line, but high cost and not 'immediate' on turn 7.
Discover a Rogue or Neutral Battlecry card, but with it's low tempo it probably needs to be a Great one...
As of Standerd, when the set was released:
Masterful:
Tess Greymane
Great:
Blink Fox
Face Collector
Fal'dorei Strider
Myra Rotspring ?
O.K.:
Cavern Shinyfinder
Lab Recruiter
Pogo-Hopper
Lilian Voss
Hungary Crab *only because of Discover 3 choices
Poor:
Elven Archer
Abusive Sergeant
Fire Fly
Voodoo Doctor
Acidic Swamp Ooze
Baleful Banker
Bloodsail Raider
Crazed Alchemist
Bad:
Razorpetal Lasher
Master of Disguise
Archerous Veteran
Bloodsail Corseir
Chrystalizer
Emerald Reaver
Faithful Lumi
Glacial Shard
Gravel Snout Knight
Fallen Sun Cleric
Galvanizer

So we're going beyond just in game accents we're now putting vaguely racist undertones in titles now?.... k.

This is my favorite card of the set so far.
