You basically lose a card for no advantage whatsoever !
And don't even try to argue about things like quest.
Even in best case scenario where you discard exactly ZAVAS, it basically reads: "deal 2 dmg, give a minion in your hand +2 +2". That effect has been proven to be on the poor side already.
You need some glasses, its not deal 2 damage, its a BOARDCLEAR FOR 1 MANA.
And warlocks get more amazing early game board clears. Wish Blizzard would spread the love a bit. Warlocks already have Defile, so until it rotates, I doubt this card will see much play. When it does rotate however, this card will be amazing. Hell, even with Defile still around, the card is already amazing. Just a solid card. Voting Very Good.
Actually this could see play if Aggro decks take over, especially in a Control Lock that runs Clutchmother Zavas. Defile probably is still a little better, but you could potentially play Shriek into Defile if your opponent has a board of 3 and 4 health minions with no 1s and 2s.

yeah, but, remember to keep a 1 drop in your hand, or the defile would say goodbey to your hand when you play this
Compare it to Demonwrath, which was 3 mana deal 2 damage to all non-demons. This is effectively the same, if you count the 2 mana you need to tap to get the card disadvantage back, except it hits demons as well (not to be ignored). Demonwrath was a very good back then for control warlock. Now that they have Defile and many other means of AoE, not sure this will take its place, unless Discolock does indeed become viable.
I get the feeling Blizz is giving Discolock one more shot of adrenaline before the quest rotates, similar to dragon priest before Blackrock Mountain rotated.

YES! This was the example I couldn't think of. It is dragon priest.
This might be even good enough in general control warlock once Defile rotates, although not sure you will need it, Cause hellfire is always good and this is pretty much a mini hellfire.
This is prolly the best of the discard bunch for immediate meta impact, defile is still way better and you wouldnt run this in zoo (demonwrath this is not)
I am thinking Blizz is trying to give warlocks an excuse to play disco lock instead of providing more power to the two current strong decks in Even and Zoo. Tho some of these new cards could support a different flavour of zoo
I don't think any of these previous effects summon 2 3/2's every turn? That card gives a chance to play the quest warlock without losing random cards, which makes it a non-RNg-dependent deck.
Also crazy important about this card is how it makes up for the tempo loss of playing the quest.

My Whizbang is ready for that sweet Discolock deck
Remember playing Control Shaman with Reincarnate shenanigans? No? It was fun, here's a refresher!
Controlled discard? hell yeah!
Really good with Clutchmother, or the Silverware Golem in Wild.

1 Mana Cons...seems pretty good imo
Sick card. If Discolock becomes a thing this is very powerful.

Although I probably wouldn't run this, it's definitely not a bad card! This is prolly the best of the discard bunch for immediate meta impact, defile is still way better and you wouldnt run this in zoo (demonwrath this is not)

The rich get richer, or in this case the class with arguably the best board clears, gets another insane addition.
Release the Kraken!
