Card Design ChampionI was thinking the same thing, but then I thought how priest needs another big board clear, which has an odd cost.
but no doubt there is potential for an odd-cost control priest deck. you can add benedictus while you are at it
I guess I'm in the minority here but I don't think this will be very good...even combined with the spirit. If they offer more support for the combo potential they are trying to create then I reserve the right to change my mind. But as of now, I voted bad.
It can't be combo because Mind Blast is even. It can't be control because other than Psychic Scream there are no odd AOE in Priest.
All this not accounting that Odd Priest hero power just sucks.
Oh right. I forgot that Holy Smite and Holy Nova are both Even cards, and healing for 4 is actually terrible.

Each expansion in terms of Priest card I always look if there is potential for the card to be included in Big Priest. Im fine with it being in Wild, cause theres a lot of tool to combat it.
Standard is another question entirely. Can this fit in big Priest for Standard? the Spirit sure looks like it can help
7 mana 7/7 draw any combination of 1-2 Northshire Clerics + Chameleos, this is good enought for me, Nortshire cleric is a high impactul card at any stage of the game.
No need to build a deck around this card.
Combo Priest!!!
Spirit of the Dead + Prophet Velen + Shadow Word: Death (only 11 mana, with 1 coin from Gilded Gargoyle)
After that you play Bwonsamdi, the Dead and you have a 1 cost Velen. The rest doesn't matter, with a 1 cost Velen you can do immense amount of damage.
Probably too slow though, but maybe Psychic Scream can keep you alive to do the combo.

Its actually works well with the spirit
...and that's the worst case scenario. If you're managed to add even 2 minions via the spirit minion, this becomes actually ridiculous; a legit win-condition.

If you can get both spirits out with bwonsamdi it makes for some serious tension. Which minion do they kill first?
