A card that's 50% of the time below average (if you play first) against aggro and always useless against control... I think it's borderline playable in some Even decks but that's it.
Really depends on meta, surely? If there's a lot of X/1 aggressive cards played, then this is viable without activation. Either way, it won't shine until rotation anyway.
The fact that there are multiple viable even decks makes me think this will at least see a lot of experimentation right away.
For some reason I'm just getting that feeling of a card that everyone thinks will be good but ends up not seeing competitive play.
Will depend on the meta of course (better in an aggro meta) and the rest of the card set (especially what other 2-drops they print) but in isolation right now I'd say it's almost certainly not going to squeeze out Keleseth for the 2-drop slot. Exception may be Genn decks, obviously!
If you wanted a neutral tech option against Odd Paladin, you'd rather run Fire Fly or Stonehill Defender than this.

Good anti baku paladin card, could see play somewhere for sure.

Hard to see this being in favor of Tar Creeper most of the time. I think the extra mana for 1 more health and a reliable taunt is much better.
Who knows though this might be something to put in even decks that are looking for a taunt to hold off aggression in the early turns.
