Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
Great concept in general but it is a horrible for 8 mana. In most cases, your opening hand should have early game minions (with some possible spells and such). By the time that you play this card, a copy of your opening hand would suck (because otherwise, agro and combo decks would killed you by now). This should of been 6 mana at the least.
If Mage gets a good, cheap board-clear, similar to Volcanic Potion, this might be ok. Otherwise, I see no point in it. You either want to keep cards in the opening hand that help you survive, or cards that give you the upper hand in the early game. If you want to survive, you need to find a moment to play this, if you care about tempo, you don't care about turn 8.
And whatever you have in mind, it is a gamble. At least to me it is. I know that all pros out there always get the same 4 cards in their opening hand, like Prince Keleseth and Wild Growth and such, but I can't preset my opening hand, so I might end up with cards that aren't worth copying, which would also make this card quite bad.
Of course, it's still too early to say this, but I am relatively sure that this will see no play.
Very slow but I mean its technicially an 8 mana 5/5 draw 5 cards what isnt THAT bad
It isn't draw 5. Unless I am misunderstanding the card it is either a draw 3 or draw 4. It wouldn't include your first draw as being part of your opening hand.
The big question is, does this give you the coin? If so it's a lot better of a card and might be viable in no-quest Exodia mage or other combo style decks.
So at least 50% To do some broken stuff, only needs a good archetype for it.
So wait... In quest mage you would get two quests and spells that didn't start in your deck to advance those said quests. I don't know if you'd ever need two quests but it probably wouldn't hurt!
Discuss!

Another Quest synergy card.
Quite slow tho.
This is definitely the type of card you would like to see in decks, probably someone will find something interesting with it
Its more refill for mage, maxing at 5 cards. This is a control card as it incentives value based opening hands.
I can see this being either really good, or just complete wasted garbage since it does nothing on play. Its not a deck definer.
Such a fun card tbh. This will be played in burn mage to get extra Fireballs and Frost bolts
I really like this card for wild. I think it can help reno mage.
This definitely won't bring mage back to meta.
Blizzard prints control mage cards without "supporting" them.
For times when 1 quest isn't enough?

Slow, but:
- Quest synergy
- Always draws 4 or 5 depending on who went first.
not too shabby.
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
Hey Zence you can edit the boom to RR expansionGreat concept in general but it is a horrible for 8 mana.

Getting 5 cards from your own deck again, can't be bad. Can't wait to see what kind of combo's this can give :)
Also love the artwork..

I think this excludes your first draw right? So, if I start it's "just" 3 cards.
Seems very clunky, unless there is a good combo.
Maybe this replaces simulacrum?
Occasionally gives helpful advice.
8 mana that gives you burn if you keept burn in te Mulligan seems a lot worse then pyro if you want reach
There are still a ton of cards to see.

high priest of shenanigans!
shifting Hearthstone from tempo based to value-based. Good choice for Blizzard? ( But it's necessary to destroy all combo deck)
