Agreed, that is why I voted it as a bad card. It’s too susceptible to silence. Plus it’s weak. So unless it plaid on turn three with a buff, it’s a waste. You also have to have both a buff and this card in your hand and 3 mana - sucks!
Well, it's not something unusual that a control paladin can run Call to Arms. This spell thins out the deck and developes board presence. This minion will fit really well in a buff or in a control paladin deck, but it will be hardly countered by silence just like people above me mention it.
I think this is still a good card in slower MUs, as it baits out a silence. Lynessa Sunsorrow might be saved from silence after this is played.
Btw, notice that this card in Quest Paladin + CtA could rise far above meme level.
Silence could typically reach only a couple of targets, out of the many in the deck, and Baleful Banker and/or Zola ensure redundancy.
At that point, it can also equip Holy Wrath + Tiger Loa as a nearly OTK at endgame.
Add a few sticky taunts, Tar Creeper, Chain Gang, and the deck could becomet threatening against any archetype.
Ok, i guess i hyped myself quite enough already.
Inb4 I don't think Baleful Banker will add a copy of this minion into your deck, which will keep its enchantments. It will just shuffle an unbuffed copy. I think the same will happen with Augmented Elekk .
This card is everything and more I've been hoping for. I don't care if it turns out not being great, I update and play quest paladin EVERY expansion and this is finally the support that gives buffing long term value and supports crystology (which also pulls Lynessa). Silence kills it, yes, but buff paladin has so many silence targets and this is a two-of. Can't wait.
Looking good, cheap, can have two of, easy to buff and you can make more copies than opponent can handle with silence using Redemption, Desperate Stand, Augmented Elekk and Faceless Manipulator.
to the people who are saying that silence would destroy this card, how many silences are you running? 2 spellbreakers tops, and if this is your priority silence target, you're prioritizing incorrectly.
Overall, if buff paladin gets more support like this, this is more of another tool to make the deck *hopefully* work, and if a deck that would include this card naturally actually works, you'll be saving your silences for something like Lynessa or an overbuffed primalfin or something like tyrion fordring. This will only be an actual silence target if it's late game, or if they over extend 2 spikeridge steeds on it or something crazy like that, and even then, You'd consider saving your Spellbreaker for Lynessa.
Of course, this is all theoretical, and I really do hope a deck like this works eventually, but we'll still need to see if the support is in, as, so far, all we know are this card and what would probably be the core 'boss' cards of the deck, Lynessa, Galvadon, and the Loa.
All the more reason to run silence tech in every deck.
Wait would it be worth it to Augmented Elekk with this?
OTK Paladin will use this. Great synergy with Call to Arms, Potion of Heroism, Steed, Lynessa, Sound the Bells.
Honestly this card is sick for a Zoo Paladin set up. I see people saying it's slow, I whole heartedly disagree. This card is real good.
Resurrect Paladin?
most of the decks don't even run Silence anymore. If you run two of these with Spigeridged Steed you will get some value out of it eventually
I tried having fun once. It was awful.
My OTK Control Paladin is looking better and better

Looks as a great card as a Fools bane

Desperate Stand? Fatigue paladin anyone? Also imagine Call to Arms'ing this with steed/valanyr/dinosize/whatever.

Seems like it's their last attempt to make Quest Paladin work before it rotates to Wild.
And it may very well be a successful one. After all, your opponent won't have enough silences for Immortal Prelates, Primalfin Champions, Lynessa Sunsorrow and Galvadon.
I never thought I'd see the day where they made kingsbane a minion LOL
At least it can be silenced
We say this every xpac ;-)
Spellbreaker is already in a lot of decks, but top priority silencable cards are still played
