If this goes face its broken AF someone explain how does overkill work does it go face? If so we are about to get another cancer PW meta if this hits 4x4=16 face damage at 6 plus the pirate revealed it seems there gonna be more pirates in this expansion jeez Hearthstone will surely die if this is another play aggro or die to combo meta......SAD
If you hit face, overkill won't activate unless your opponent's face has 3 or less health. At which point it still wouldn't activate because you would win the game.
Overkill only activates when you overkill a minion.

Close. It's if you kill a minion for more damage than they have health. So if they have 4 health, and you kill them with this, Overkill doesn't activate. But if they are 3 or less and you hit them with this, you kill them for 1+ more damage than they had health. The extra damage sending their health total lower than 0 is "overkill", at which point the ability would activate and you can swing the weapon again.
People comparing this to Fools' Bane didn't take in consideration the potential this card has in aggro warrior. In my opinion this card steals the slot to Arcanite Ripper because it is pretty much garanteed to hit face regardless of earlygame and midgame taunts. Fools' Bane could not hit face, and that's why it never saw play. This card also becomes insane with Upgrades.
Weapon removal is already extremely popular in the current meta, with Gluttonous Ooze and Acidic Swamp Ooze as the 6th and 42nd most popular cards. Yes, under ideal conditions all four charges can be used on a single turn, and it's a more flexible anti-Saronite Chain Gang tech card than Mossy Horror, but on a typical hit one minion and then hit face turn with 2 charges left, weapon destruction is reasonably likely to follow.
What this implies is that this weapon is best used in a deck with at least a few other weapons, so that earlier weapons can hopefully soak up the weapon removal and free up all four charges for this one. We see in the current meta how vulnerable one-weapon decks like Malygos Druid and Cube Lock are to weapon removal.
To use overkill you need 3 health minions. That's what Fool's Bane did, it had 3 attack for 1 less mana. Saw some play but not much. This definitely doesn't fit in CW. But in Aggro Warrior, maybe. At worst it's 16 face damage over 4 turns, which makes it better than Arcanite Reaper.
But we'll have to wait till rotation, the meta will barely change this time, too many card sets are in Standard.
When I compared this weapon directly with the Doomhammer, I like it. 4 attack is decent and being able to kill multiple minions in a turn has potential, might be even better when we see other cards with this Overkill mechanic.
Seems to be a bit overrated. You can only attack again if you kill a minion that has less than 4 health. It's also not usable in Odd Warrior, where health is not an issue. It's too slow for Pirate Warrior, that one would rather play an Arcanite Reaper. So it seems that there is no deck where this weapon fits.
I'd say that it would see a lot of play if it costed 7. But it will hardly see any play because it costs 6.
