This sucks. its just subpar stats with a crappy ability attached. Maybe you feel like gambling the top of your deck, but the pay off doesn't seem worth it.
Seems terrible, the stats aren't amazing for 3 mana and Gnomish Inventor has a better version of this effect, or you could just use Loot Hoarder. One of the requisite bad cards any expansion has, I guess.
Pretty terrible. Maybe in a 22 spell miracle rogue deck, but even then, you have to play him late in the game to not make your auctioneer into a chicken.

Decks currently running Gnomish Inventor and/or Acolyte of Pain will actually consider running this card. If most of your deck is spells and you have no standalone irreplaceable super minions in the deck, the Battlecry seems solid. Freeze Mage?
Is it worth the risk of Chickening your Alexstrasza/Doomsayer/Explosive Sheep/if you run Giants in your Freeze Mage, Giants? Plus, Acolyte can draw more for a Mage than this.
I guess what I don't get is for 1 mana more you get the same effect, with no downside, and better stats? Why not just make it a cheaper Gnomish Inventor?
If it draws a chicken, then its basically a Razorfen Hunter with 3/2 instead of 2/3
I'm pretty sure we would think that a 3/2 that has "battlecry: summon a 1/1" for 3 would be considered bad, but not as bad as Razorfen. But it has the downside of burning one of your cards to do that effect
If you play a chicken, I think they'll have a good idea.
In spite of the randomness, this is actually a card that I think is going to see more play among high end players (who track what's left in their decks) than among more casual players (who probably will limit it's use to high-spell density decks).

Why do you think it will be played by players who keep track of their cards left in the deck? This implies that the card will be played in late game. Given the bad stats, this is a terrible late game card, so it will be played in early game where you risk losing your core cards. Players who keep track of cards are good enough to recognise how bad this card is and they will never play it.
So much discussion. RLY? Terrible stats with a battlecry that can at best help you a little, drawing a spell, or screw you over completely is not a subject for discussion. As it is, I see no circumstances when you would prefer this crap over almost anything else, arena or constructed.
I dont know why you're saying you would never draw those cards. It's the NEXT card you're actually drawing, not the LAST. You would have drawn that Rag. LOL.
Long story short, the 4 mana gnomish has bad stats for it's cost and draw a card. Only shaman are running it right now. This is a worst gnomish if you're playing it in a control or midrange deck.
Only hunter decks would use it imo, since they dont give a fuck about burning cards. The game never go even remotely close to fatigue in their games. they would be happy drawing a kill command. The risk is still to burn you Savannah highmane though, and i dont know if it's even worth taking in the aggro hunter decks we see nowadays.
Sure, just like drawback from deathlord never screwed anybody over. I mean, they spend spells\creatures to get a creature and, because creature is random, drawback is purely psychological. I guess that's why only true pros play it, as they're not impeded by the weaknesses of feeble minds.

Seems pretty horrible, unless the chicken has good stats, or you don't have other minions?

you can use it with recombobulator to change it to something else :D the chicken I mean
Let me change your mind

Erm...he could be good in a mage spell deck, I guess?

Id possibly start to consider playing it if the effect hit the opponent xD
The card is terrible. The stats aren't even on par with the mana cost never mind how bad the the effect is in a deck with any minions.
Ehm. Mecha-chicken synergy in the other cards may be?

Not a fan of paying 1 mana for a bad draw effect.
Favorite class: keeping all 9 of them equal in level.
I want to like it, even though everyone knows it's bad.
