Isn't the battlecry a free heal for Molten and Mountain Giants (read Handlock)? Also synergizes with Power Overwhelming and minions that have a substantial part of the mana cost's value in their battlecry, such as Ancient of Lore and The Black Knight.

Surely The Black Knight is more powerful than Gandalf...
It also seems like a good choice to play after using a minion with a weak body but a strong Battlecry. I could see Druids wanting to play him on the Ancient of Lore.
(Also, good to know that Harvest Golem is being counted as a Mech)
You wouldn't get the minion from Sylvana's deathrattle, since the Recombobulator TRANSFORMS the minion. It's like Polymorph, so it doesn't activate the deathrattles.
Could be fun in ramp druid to use on big scary minions. Like someone said, would be a good idea to use on an Ancient of Lore. It seems too RNG though, so I doubt it'll actually see much play.
Very solid arena card though!

The hero power costs 2 mana, but the Silver Hand Recruit it summons does not (so does all the shaman totems). I'd say the one drops are better than the recruits, but I don't think you can run them for the sole purpose of recombobulating your recruits. Maybe in a deck with more synergies though.
The violet teacher's Violet Apprentice costs 0 mana. You'd only be getting wisps.

So far this seems to be the best use of the card I've read. Really good idea! +1
How can that guy already play the new cards? http://www.twitch.tv/sinedd92
He's viewing the youtube video Blizzard posted of game play -

Sea Giant->Deathwing
are there any other 10 mana minions?
Would work well with Paladin too. Most any 1 cost minion is better than the recruit.
I really want Pirates to be a playable theme.
Rly solid arena card. Love it.

wait I just realised...
play Ironbark
play this thing
Turn Ironbark into V-07-TR-0N!!!!!
the dream :D
I think this will only give you collectible minions like what the Webspinner does.
I don't think there is a bad 2 mana 3/2 yet and this would not be the first. Plus it's hilarious in handlock.
Favorite class: keeping all 9 of them equal in level.
Could be used with minions that spend a lot of "points" on good battlecries to try to reroll them to good stat minions after they land.
oh no the dream :'(
ok then I will be happy with infinite king crush. or noz :D
Good point. Most of the Giants have unique costs (and the one that doesn't, shares the cost with Deathwing).

Would battlecries work with this?

If we can use this card on the totems this card would instantly turn into a must play for pally and shaman. I am excited.
I can see this helping with aggro/zoo type builds. Cards that would be a huge upgrade over 1/1 minions (searing totem and pally token, also maybe violet teacher spawn?) Haunted Creeper, Loot Hoarder, Amani Berserker, river crockolisk, Bloodmage Thalnos, Nat Pagle, Millhouse Manastorm!!! no battlecry!!, and many more. I think if the combo works it is a MUST PLAY.
