Interresting is this too in an new Deathrattle-Deck; you can buff your untertaker to 3/6 without a deathrattle out and make it very hard to remove. Or Making Zombie Chow a Injured Blademaster.
Velen's Chosen is a powerful, yet balanced card.. For 2 mana, +2/+2 equals that of Mark of the Wild excluding the taunt giving, and the extra 1 mana is for the extra +2 health that equals that of Power Word: Shield excluding the card draw. While the +1 spell damage compensates the lack of the previously mentioned excluded advantages. Simply polished.

You can't harass members who play Face Hunter, nor are they compelled to make preemptive apologies or justifications for playing it. They don't hack or crack their opponents' game, they simply play existing cards that form a specific deck. If you suck at countering Face Hunter, you should blame the designers, not the community.
Decent card but I don't expect to see Echoing Ooze combos at high ranked constructed play. When the card was first introduced, people went crazy about possible Mark of the Wild and Blessing of Kings combos and the only decks it has effectively seen play in were Token Druid (got replaced later on) and the occasional zoo deck (again with minor success).
Like we need more aggressiveness in the game at the moment...I can honestly see this tho as a strong control card. Get a cheap minion, with 2 attack and buff it, and 1 spellpower can be useful, like for holy smite. Maybe Spell Power Priest can be viable sometime.
The spell damage might even be negative because of the Auchenai-combo ...
CoH is not affected by spell damage, so not really. This could be good in a tempo priest, but I'm a little undecided.
The spell damage is almost moot, since priests do not have a lot of spell damage. Smite, holy, and holy fire are the three that comes to mind, and the only card you can combo this with would be smite. It is the same reason that priests do not run thalnos and all attempts to incorporate malygos have failed.

Circle of Healing under the effects of the auchenai with +1 spell damage will deal +1 damage (so 5) because it's a spell that deals damage.
I really think that aggro priest is a think that can come out, but this, can be prety good, nothing really epic, but good. In arena is amazing.
Somehow I doubt it. Priests simply lack the card draw engine to compete with the current rush decks; zoo has the warlock hero power, paladin has divine favor, and even mages have arcane intellect. The priest equivalent, thoughtsteal, is utter garbage for a rush deck because it doesn't draw from their own deck.
You could use northshire cleric but that's a huge tempo loss.
I imagine you could, just like today, build a priest aggro deck but it will not be any more successful in the future than it is now.
I am thinking more of a late combo when you can buff Thalnos with Velen's Chosen and cast Holy Nova for 4 damage. 10 mana cost though but still you have a solid 3/5 body with +2 spell damage Thalnos
This card is absolutely brutal in Arena, especially if used on a Northshire Cleric, they basically get almost infinite card draw and a beefy minion that is very hard to kill. Obviously it won't be as strong in Constructed, but the stats are very good (especially on Priest which has healing) and being 1 mana less than Blessing of Kings is a big deal.
This card is starting to feel overpowered. I've run up against 3 priests today who did the same Northshire with Velen's Chosen into a coin holy nova turn 4 to decimate my zoo board and there's nothing you can do about it. At least remove the spellpower guys, its just way to much value for a 3 cost card. Unless you want auto match ups to start happening, where warlcok just loses to priest unless they get insanely lucky.
I doubt this will happen for me too many times, but it made me feel good when it did happen. This was against a warrior with 27 health and 6+ armor left. He had focused on my minions, so I was at about 20 health. I dropped a Northshire Cleric on round 9 which he ignored. On round 10 I used: 2x Velen's chosen, 2x Divine Spirit, the coin and Inner Fire to turn my little 1/3 into a 44/44 and ended the game with one hit. That put a big smile on my face. I pulled something similar the game before buffing a Northsire up to 30/30 and one hitting a full health opponent.
I had actually put the flying machine in my priest deck hoping to achieve a combo like this, but has not happened yet. In theory though, with that same combo on a flying machine, you would have a 48/48 with windfury. I realize it is a late game combo and will never be a ladder climber, but sure is darn fun.

what about running silence? Also, put down a Nerubian the turn before you expect a board wipe. Really, you can't expect that you can spend whole games with nothing but hitting the opponents face, you have to actually react to his plays.

As someone who mains Paladin, I'm so envious right now.
don't forget this is yet another way to close the 4 attack loophole. I think this card is gonna make it into constructed. just you watch!
I want to use this on a Wild Pyromancer. I can also see it working well with Shadow Word: Death in emergencies.
Once you introduce this card, I'm not sure how can you just leave mark of nature in the game as it is.

You've got to be kidding.

This card is going to add a lot to aggro priest and control priest.

Oh so the Zoolock doesn't like losing, I see.
In Arena I've seen T1 Zombie Chow + T2 Coin / Velen's Chosen twice. It's basically hard removal (on turn 2/3) or bust.
