Harsh change but required since setting it to 6 mana means Even decks like Evenlock would just run away with it. My only gripe is why they left the Inventor herself at 2/1. Why not make it a 3/3 to at least keep the stats up a bit for the extra mana.
Never going to see play again. Too bad it died because of Quest Rogue. I thought it was a good defensive tool at 5 mana.
Speaking of Quest Rogue, how much does this hit that deck?
I think in an aggro-meta it's dead because of this... Once you're in DK-Mode the only way to play it twice is a shadowstep...
But Giggling was the stalling tool for this deck stuff like shadowstep + brewmaster on t5 isn't a thing anymore... so is completing the quest with giggling nearly impossible and with it the main-tool against aggro...
On Tournaments and Legend could still see play, but against aggro it will be very weak
You know what, I just had a thought. Why not change the card text to "Can't be targeted by Spells/Hero powers". At 5 mana means that quest rogue can still brewmaster it but can't shadowstep and hits Shaman a bit against Unstable Evolution (which isn't broken but still an interaction). I don't mind it being 7 mana as it does the job regardless but this would hit what blizzard say they are aiming for.
Put this card in the nerf-hall-of-fame with Starving Buzzard, Warsong Commander, and the all the rest of the once-playable cards that are now untouched.

There's also Lab Recruiter, which I'm fairly certain helps in Quest Rogue as well.
One point. Giggling Inventor was pretty much the only meta Boomcard power card.
I think we can now say Boomsday was a failure of an expansion.
False. The Boomsday expansion is fine. It has many wonderful cards. Just because you lack the creativity to produce something on your own and netdeck all day every day doesn't mean the expansion is shit.
It has a lot of fun cards, but crap like Mech Hunter and Treant Druid are simply worse versions of decks that are being played right now. Whats the point of playing worse cards that aren't even that fun to use anyway?
Aggro always has been very good in integrating cheap "defense" cards and using them to sustain their board present (Voidwalker is a prime example).
The nerf kind of highlights a problem Blizzard created when they started to print more and more swarm cards (play 1 card, get X minions) plus some very powerful buffs. Giggling Inventor was probably supposed to counter this by putting multiple taunts on the board (one taunt against many minions has been a good way to loose for as long as I can remember). So we are in a world in which we try to answer fire with fire (or swarm with swarm) and think the result will be less of the later.
If you are going to completely butcher one card's effect or increase the cost a lot because of its effect, the least you could do is improve the stats.
Both this and the poor orc could have 3/3 stats (or even 3/4 in the case of Warsong) and they would be fair. Not like they would be used competitively, but they could be useful for new players or be decent in arena.
Maybe token or evolve shaman? Turns into an 8 drop with 2 divine shield taunts for 9 mana. What do you think?

Good point, could find itself useful in Thrall decks.
Rusty Recycler
Ironic. It could recycle others, but not itself.
LOl what a stupid nerf, aggro was being really annoying to controll now without this card is going ot be even harder lol
Too overpowered. Put rush instead
Nerf like this? And after patch you'll make me dust all of them in one go.
My thoughts on the upcoming changes;
Such bullshit. How about just deleting The Caverns Below. That card has been a problem 3 times now.

Blizzard's nerf strategies are the worst.

Yes but honestly that's nowhere near as quick as double shadowstep.
Aggro decks buff,
Dr7 its back!

Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
Don't you get it guys? It's a buff for evolve shamans, a little bit expensive though.

It's the same as with Warsong Commander.
