I actually expected 6 mana, but at 6 mana it will be still pretty strong and will be included in even decks, but 7 mana sort of kills the card. Thank god no more Mossy Horror inclusion, just to stop this card. Pretty happy with the nerf still, got 4 regular and 1 golden copy to DE, knew the nerf was coming for this one.
7 mana was too much. This really kills the card for token druid because you can't drop it with the taunt buff dude now. Maybe they were scared Even lock/shaman/pally could do too much with it. Each of those decks has good reason to include it. at 7 mana no odd deck will run it because they're all aggro decks and that is way too costly.
At least it really fucks with quest rogue, hopefully enough to make people stop playing it.

One point. Giggling Inventor was pretty much the only meta Boomcard power card.

False. The Boomsday expansion is fine. It has many wonderful cards. Just because you lack the creativity to produce something on your own and netdeck all day every day doesn't mean the expansion is shit.

It affects but sides of the match here. It takes value away from defense and aggressive builds. 7 mana for 4/5 double divine does sound lame though.
I see comments like "Boomsday and Witchwood s*cks" , "glad I didn't by any packs", and then comments like ," this meta is the most polarized and Knights of the Frozen Throne or K&C are to be blamed". So, what exactly do you want? Power creep cards or more balanced-kinda feel weak cards?
I am new to this game(Play since February 2018) and I think that the cards that made this meta so polarized are mainly from expansions that will rotate on April 2019. So, if you like power-creep cards I think that Wild is the place. I like the new direction of Boomsday and Witchwood with powerful cards but not game defining(keleseth can win you a game, DK can, Shudderwork alone can't, needs all the other synergies)
I do see that some decks have polarized match ups, such as odd roque and odd warrior but I think that apart from that , the reason that meta feels staple is because the people(me including), play power creep cards from old expansions.Why not play keleseth when you can? (I think that this card should never have been printed). Personally I am longing for the rotation in April

This card was perfect, and even Blizzard admits, they're really only nerfing it because of Quest Rogue.
At 5 mana, it was properly balanced, a 2/1 for 1 mana, and 2 Annoy-o-Trons for 2 mana each, equaling 5. Perfect.
Now at 7 mana, it is truly unplayable, and overpriced. They should change the actual Inventor to a 2/3 at least, then, it would still be worth considering, at least. But no, Quest Rogue abuses it, so just nerf it to oblivion, and no fun for anyone with Giggling Inventor.

I don't feel we will be seeing much of this card anymore.
All very well to increase the cost. But they should have made the middle card have a larger body, perhaps 4/3.
Or keep the same cost and made the 2 spawns have a 'Random' upgrade from a list of 3 possible abilities (Divine Shield, Lifesteal, Poisonous)
Yes the card was overpowered and used far too often, But I think they have gone too far.
