I mainly play only Deathrattle Hunter at the moment, and am at rank 7. But as I play more and more tempo mages, I just wonder if it would be worth it to swap those two drops and see how it plays out. Keleseth if you get him on the first hand is 100% Keep.
I know vs other classes Flare wont do much other than card draw but in hunter that is saying something because card draw is horrible for hunter and for good reason. But at times with tracking you at times get that unlucky 3 and you end us discarding two of your cards you need ontop of the one you picked.
I dont know if this has been discussed before or talked about I tried to look through deck recipes and didnt see any that I could find. But thoughts if it would be worth it or viable?
Tracking is mostry for aggro matchups to try to find good answers(don't care about the discard, you don't have that much time to play all the cards anyway) and is good to find rexxar too. Can you post your list? you can change other cards to play better against aggro
Honestly, I don't think you're going to have a great matchup against aggro mage either way. I have not verified that statistically, but it's always felt like aggro mage has to stumble hard enough to get out grizzlies at a reasonable life total for you to have a great chance.
Flare would help a little, but it feels like you'd lose too much in other matchups. Keleseth is basically an auto win in the opening hand against many decks. It's rare to be able to put a card in your deck that can swing the win rate that hard.
Another smaller consideration is that Flare is another dead card against Control Warrior in that you can't put yourself closer to fatigue in what is already the grindiest of grind matchups.
If you want a good tech card against aggro mage, consider Rotten Applebaum. Back before Boomsday, the Deathrattle Hunter deck had silver vanguard and more high cost beasts. Against the aggro decks, you can sometimes use terrorscale and play dead or even cube on the applebaum and put yourself way out of reach. Just a thought; haven't tried it since Boomsday.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.

I have a very good exp with deathrattle hunter and a good win rate against aggro mage.
You have to hard mulligan for eggs(that counters runes), flanking and spooder bomb. If you go second, you can coin the egg(with a stalker on hand) instead of playing keleseth turn 2. But rexxar is very important for the heal( and potential more heal) so tracking is a better card draw.
Agreed aggro decks are not a great matchup for Deathrattle. I did reach rank 6 a couple days ago but havent been able to sniff it since.
I agree with both points made on this I may try applebaum that is a valid suggestion as well, but what to substitute?
Here is my current deck list I am running. Feel free to help with any changes at all that may help. I am still considering the Flare, Also vs Secret hunter it may come in handy but i can usually handle that fine with this deck.

Tracking would stay in even if I did replace it with flare. It is too valuable even though at times you get screwed. For example I had a choice of rexxar, king krush, and kathrena the today. another time both eggs and a stalker.
It can just be unlucky at times, but that is the price you pay for "finding" a card.

Mct never works against aggro mage, i use another giggling but its not that good against aggro mage also cause of shooting stars. Really don't recomend cutting prince cause of other matchups, but i am also faceing lots of aggro mages. My recomendation is a hard mulligan for those key cards on the matchup.
well i dont use keleseth, i actually crafted him for the first time recently and regretted. trying to find him in mulligan phase usually fucks up my mullligan like against aggro i want candleshot and he is very underwhelming. ive used flare, its not a bad card.
I have taken out 1 tracking and replaced it with a flare and kept keleseth in for now. I was at rank 7, but just hit a retched losing streak and have fallin back to 10..... Yay. I hope this works out
Flare doesn't work against Counterspell though, so you will always have to take a 50/50 when it comes to secrets. Also, Using flare against a turn 3 Kirin Tor just doesn't seem worth.
You should keep keleseth in your deck. Aggro mage should already be a good matchup for you, and i think flare will not necessarily make the matchup better.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

Very valid point. But that risk may still be worth it, only as another card to burn vs a play dead or hunters mark when you need it potentially.

Yes, I have decided to keep him
