Maybe this has been talked about before, and I didnt see it. If so I am sorry for the repost.
But thoughts on Charged Devilsaur being changed to a rush minion and potentially moved to the classic set?
I am also fine with it rotating out, but when I see that card played and it doesnt say rush but the context that it does... imo it just needs a change.
What do you mean? It cant go face when its brought out. Also mind you I have only been playing since Witchwood so I am still learning a lot. (I hit rank 9 in august for the first time) but I would like to be taught what you mean with that card and the combo. Maybe I am misunderstanding it.
Mind you I dont run that card in my deathrattle hunter/recruit hunter.

Just read about recruit mechanic and you will understand.
If you can prevent the battlecry from activating you can actually go face with it, so it's not like rush at all. For example, recruiting it allows it to go face or if you destroy and resummon it with Carnivorous Cube it can attack the opponent.
Wow.... Fail. I can't beleive I never looked that up tbh. I knew battlecries etc didnt trigger, but since I have never played that card in my deathrattle/recruit.... I made a silly assumption. So it can go face since it technically wasnt summoned.
Thank you folks. I retract this post all together then.
Thank you for the reply! I found this out right after the person above mentioned to look it up. I have used the cube /w king krush and man that is fun to pull off.
Now I am wondering if those cards are worth a craft even though they rotate out in a few months. I mainly only play deathrattle/recruit hunter right now, and would love to try the deck with them.
This has been asked/suggested thousand of times and ppl still dont get the difference. Yes, you are a new player, you are excused, but my point stands.
Rush is a keyword that is active at all times.
Charge is a keyword that is active at all times. But "Battlecry: Cant attack heroes this turn." is an ability, that is only active, if you play the minion from hand and trigger its battlecry. If you cheat it out, for ex. via Recruit mechanic or resurrection, the Devilsaur can attack face right away, cause the battlecry didnt trigger, for obvious reasons.
So these r two very different interactions, meaning just slapping a Rush on it would change how the card is being played.
And putting it in a classic set with Rush, im not sure we will ever see a keyword in the Classic set that hasnt been there since launch. I think that is a good thing tho.
Thanks for the in-depth as stated above I still had a lot to learn with recruit hunter/deathrattle. I have been playing the deck without charged devilsaur, but now I may try them. Hoping to get back up rank 9 this month and maybe beyond but still a lot to learn.
I actually got legend in September with right this Type of Hunter Deck. It was very strong last month. Soo ... yeah might be worth a craft even that late in the standard year for this card. But idk, there are way more cheaper decks to reach legend with.
Still fun fun to play none the less. Playing kathrena and two ‚play dead‘ just to release a dinosaur trio on your opponents face is just kind of fun.

HS definitely has some not-so-obvious interactions. If you want to learn to be able to spot these better, i suggest reading through the wiki. Look up descriptions of specific keywords and how they work. And also how are actions resolved (in which order, by what rules etc.).

Cheers folks and see ya on the ladder!

No brain - no pain.

"As with all put into battlefield effects, minions summoned by Recruit don't activate their Battlecry or Choose One effects."
