I've yet to see a person get a pogo hopper past 11/11s in any of my games. The deck is honestly too slow right now in my opinion for it to be an actual threat. Sure you can still get ridiculous games where you get a 17/17 pogo hopper, but those games aren't common. Just because it happens once or twice doesn't mean it's the next big thing. When it can start happening consistently and shoves other decks out of the meta game, then it needs to be addressed in my opinion.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
I've never had trouble playing against Pogo-Hopper (I've never seen higher than a 9/9, even)... what deck are you running? That's going to play a pretty big factor in this discussion.
Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.
Pogo hopper will lose to any combo deck which is every deck on ladder if it not Druid it priest. U literally have no chance hearthstone is just comb decks right now .
The best deck only reaches 51.3% of wins: pogo hopper
If you let the pogo hopper player develop his game till he gets those 17/17 beasts, it's just because your own strategy has failed and even if the pogo hoppers were limited to 9/9 you would have lost the game
There is no reason to complain about this card (yet?)
Obnoxious deck but not op. Just another control killer as if we needed one, it seems to struggle against anything that can apply a moderate amount of pressure in the mid game. I mean, I understand having decks that just beat the hell out of control but I feel like there are so many already that it's just really absurd. Did Blizzard forget why Skulking Geist was printed or what?

Which makes the card even more annoying. As if control decks weren't already having a tough time here is a deck that is abysmal against everything but control, have fun! Like, it's not even a fun deck to play because I feel like I am bullying the weak kid in class despite not being able to hold my own against anything. Just such a dumb card.

it beats combo decks, it looses to aggro.
the whole point is it;s like a combo decks that goes really fast as you don't have to have 5 cards to do the combo. if you can start off your bunnies or shuffle fal'dorei with elekk on board VS. a combo it you will most likely win.
The only combo deck to get close to beating me was the mally rogue because it's also very fast when they draw right.
I mean guess anyway can beat anything, but the thing all the new miracle style rogue decks struggle with is aggro as we have no way to heal or clear board effectively. you have to hope you draw zilliax in time and if you don't, you die.
I have played my version a bit and tbh unless it's another combo deck you usually get smorc'd to death before you can do anything.
All of the new rogue decks are the same. they are highly dependant on just a few cards, and if you don't draw them it's impossible to win.
You might just be playing something the deck beats, and in that case there's nothing you can do.
This is not true. Rogue got some very good Deathrattle cards that makes Rogue deathrattle decks more than viable in current meta. The mechanical dragon, the new weapon and the new 5 mana spell trigger deathrattle twice is very good cards.
did you even look at my sig? hahaha.
I've played the deathrattle deck a lot and it's exactly the same. if you don't draw the cards you need you die. you must have blade and egg to get a start, then you have to draw into vials (and dragon/cube)
when the deck draws well it completely slays, but if it doesn't you just die. It's not like other decks that have early game minions to fall back on. all it has it firefly and if you don't draw firefly, egg and blade you're screwed pretty much.
don't get me wrong I love the deck, but it's not one of these decks like odd rogue and paladin and zoo etc that can draw anything and still win. you must have certain cards before it gets too late or you can't win.
if blade, vial, egg and dragon are on the bottom of the deck you cannot win. (unless you take shadowstep for the leeroy OTK)
Like I said, all the new rogue decks are partial combo decks that really struggle against aggro.

So you're admitting you are highly dependent of the weapons and the spells to proc the deathrattles..

yeah it's definitely highly dependent on the activators and the 2 main deathrattle minions. if you don't draw a combination of them you loose.
I started playing a version tonight that has more of the classic cards like vilespine and SI:7 because then you have stuff to fall back on if the combo pieces are at the bottom of the deck.
Unless we get a good way to 100% draw death rattle minions I don't see it becoming anything anyone really needs to worry about.
yeah it's a really fun deck to play, but if RNG is not on your side you can go on huge loose streaks.
In this game I had to sacrifice my bunnies early game to keep up the pressure, but I then created an annoy - O - factory with the recruiters and the Giggling inventors, with Sonya shadowdancer on board.
This is the technique I was describing in the rogue thread the other day where you put sonya down with a giggling inventor and when they trade into your taunts you get them back.. half the time they don't even realize what is happening until it's too late.
i swear they take out the recruiter over the sonya every time, not realizing that sonya is putting everything they kill right back into my hand for one mana.
It's a gigantic swing turn, and this sort of thing that makes the deck amazing.
Even though it has bad universal winrates. The deck is still really good. we just haven't learned to play it properly yet... sometimes them bunnies need to be sacrificed.
And Elekk's might not be ideal for this faster meta, as they could end up dead in your hand. I am trying the deck without them for a while, but I might ad zola the gorgon instead.
I totally shouldn't have blown that vanish on that 1 bunny in hindsight, but I was still hoping to hit it with a recruiter. adapting to not having elekk to fill the deck with bunnies though will be difficult, but I do believe it will speed the deck up a bit. and no need for an early taunt as we have a lot of draw with both fan of knives, pods and thalnos as well as sprint. will upload the new version in a bit.
The only pogo hopper I've played was able to shadowstep twice as soon as it was played and then sent 3 more into the deck. Needless to say I could keep up the tempo and lost that game.
Haven't had any problems so far with Pogo-Hopper Decks ! the highest Pogo-Hopper i played against so far was 11/11 but still won the game. I think the pogo-hopper decks are fun, but to slow to stay competetive or win more than 50% ...
the more optimized version is sitting at 50% exactly right now. I drew pretty bad in my loast game, but because the deck had a lot of draw and I hadn't used all my resources on the bunnies I was able to draw into the most OP thing the deck does other than the bunnies. tricking someone into trading into everything but your sonya.
I honestly don't know why when the taunts come down they just kill it right away, but I think the idea of me being able to shadowstep or copy my recruiter or giggling inventor sometimes sends alarm bells ringing and they kill them first.
Or they think because theres nothing on board, I can't trade things in for copies, and they forget they just gave me all my stuff back so I can play it all again :D
check out the replay if you have a minute, it's pretty funny how the game ends up going (btw I traded into the bomb at the end in case he had a way of activating it then trading it as he would have had lethal. I knew if he just had his hero power I'd be at 1 HP that he couldn't get... I guessed right and he concedes, it's beautiful. ha ha.
there is a slightly more optimized version now though people have worked out not to try and run it like a miracle rogue. the striders and the elekk's slow it right down.
if you cut them and make sure you have a lot of draw it performs a lot better. This particular version has a 50% winrate. It was 57% last night but more people have started playing it now due to Kolento streaming the optimized version and winning a lot with it.
EDIT: check my sig deck for example. I was running it with all the bells and whistles, but it was too slow man in this meta. This version runs so much better.
Pogo-Hopper is INSANELY overpowered. People are popping out 17/17 Hoppers by turn 7. This must be stopped.

Its not op at all. you know that pogo hopper only got 30% winrate right?
I've never had trouble playing against Pogo-Hopper (I've never seen higher than a 9/9, even)... what deck are you running? That's going to play a pretty big factor in this discussion.
#gNOmeferatu
biggest I have gotten is 19/19.

How do you play pogo hopper 8 times by turn 7? If that were remotely true caverns below would be nerfed a third time.
Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
