Really wanna test out whizbang :) Unfortunately I need to dust cards to obtain it. Would really appreciate it if anyone can look at possible cards to dust. Probably not going to get a reply, but it's worth asking!
You are short like 20% to be competative. So, you are near. Even if my collection is slightly more refined, I would like to have some of your cards. Now, i go somewhere and when I'm back we can see how to manage and direct your collection.

I examined your collection in detail. Obviously, you started during Kobolds (like me), or somewhat earlier. Your Classic set is excellent! But the following 3 expansions are awful (leg number, key cards). For me, it was a real pain in the ass to retroactively collect cards from Un'Goro, KotFT and Kobolds, but I managed it somehow and now it pays off. If you are not going to play Wild after the rotation, now it would be to late to build those sets more, but if you are willing to hit one more pity timer it would be great.
For the current rotation, in order to bring yourself closer to some good, great or fun decks, you need to have:
You are okay with Warrior. Problem is he needs various expensive cards to add here and there like Shield Slam. Anyway, you can build light control Warrior, Spellstone Warrior, aggro rush Warrior.
I was lucky enough to open him golden, but I would have crafted him golden if I didn’t get him. he will be relevant for a long time. He doesn’t rotate for a long time, and you can try out cards for all future expansions.
Yoy wont get bored of him in a few days. A golden craft maybe out of your reach or comfort zone, but a golden deck is swagger and that is something in and of itself. It’s the ultimate “skin” in a way.

wow, excellent feedback Tuscarora87 :) and I genuinely appreciate the time and effort it took you to help me out, ty
I have been dusting quite a bit in order to obtain a decent priest collection. So it seems like I have pretty much dusted all the trash cards I possibly can, like temporus for example.
Would u recommended saving my gold and dust for the next expansion?
Or perhaps spending gold on older card packs?
As a f2p player I want to be looking to build my collection for the long-term ofc. I also never play wild......at least atm but wouldn't mind playing some wild at some point in the future!

Must admit golden whizbang is awesome! However, I could get an extra legendary or 4 epics for the dust, and after crafting golden deathstalker rexxar, I refuse to craft anymore golden cards as the game is expensive enough as it is imo :)

I plan to play Wild after the rotation (probably not competitive) because I love some cards and decks, plus why let all those cards go to waste.
Of course, Standard format should have priority. Here's what I'm doing. No more opening packs from Ungoro, KotFT and Kobolds (stopped on the 1st of June), only crafting. Because, I'm still one step back, now I allowed myself to hunt pity timers for Witchwood and Boomsday (Classic, too) - for one month. Besides Baku and Genn, Witchwood is underwhelming, but I'm missing all the useful epics like Voodoo Doll, Amalgam, Cauldron... So, it will leave me next 3 months to gather gold for the next expansion, when I will finally catch a step.
There's still a lot of months of this Standard rotation, a lot of time to be crippled. Therefore, it's not too late to open some packs from older sets; if not to get some legendaries, but at least some epics, extra dust and a supply for eventual Wild play in the future. Then you can start gathering gold for the next expansion. I hope Blizzard allow us to buy Wild packs with gold.
I see great effort in building your collection as it is now. You are very close to create some evergreen Odd decks and such... Even if you despise aggro, it's all about to have on your disposition several different decks (to not get bored). Dusting trash cards and getting dust from golden cards and duplicates can help a lot. My last 2 packs gave me c. 250 dust, without any epic.

I got rid of my golden The Storm Bringer and Cloning Gallery off the get go
You have a solid collection; why would you spend 1600 to play some random generic decks for couple of days?
...Maybe you can dust some epics like Tortollan Primalist... And I can advise you not to dust Subject 9.
“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.”
Yeah your probably right, Whizbang just seems like a bit of fun to play around with, but a poor decision long term.
Do you really seem to think I have a solid collection? As I think I'm lacking quite a few cards for competitive decks atm without dust.

For the current rotation, in order to bring yourself closer to some good, great or fun decks, you need to have:
DRUID
a must have:
1 X Ultimate Infestation
2 X Lesser Jasper Spellstone
1 X Spreading Plague
preferably:
Malfurion the Pestilent
1 X Wispering Woods
2 X Greedy Sprite
2 X Branching Paths
2 X Mountain Giant
Possible decks: token, hand and aggro Druid.
HUNTER
a must have:
You have all you need.
preferably:
2 X Terrorscale Stalker
1 X Professor Putricide
Possible decks: deathrattle / egg Hunter; and if you get Professor Putricide you can build secret Hunter together with Subject 9.
MAGE
a must have:
2 X Arcanologist
2 X Primordial Glyph
1 X Explosive Runes
preferable:
1 X Cosmic Anomaly
2 X Celestial Emissary
Aluneth
Possible decks: With Aluneth you would be able to play tempo, aggro mage
PALADIN
a must have:
2 X Glow-Tron
preferable:
2 X Level Up!
Baku the Mooneater
Possible decks: Obviously, Odd Paladin, or even mech version.
PRIEST
I see you're a Priest player. You have everything here.
ROUGE
a must have:
1 X Elven Minstrel
preferable:
2 X Vicious Fledgling
2 X Vilespine Slayer
Possible decks: Odd Rouge
SHAMAN
a must have:
- nothing
preferable:
2 X Primalfin Totem
Genn Greymane
Possible decks: Even Shaman (lighter version), budget elemental Shaman, light Bloodlust Shaman and OTK Doomhammer :).
WARLOCK
You have almost everything for normal and Heal Zoolock. Craft Prince Keleseth. And maybe Vicious Fledgling.
WARRIOR
You are okay with Warrior. Problem is he needs various expensive cards to add here and there like Shield Slam. Anyway, you can build light control Warrior, Spellstone Warrior, aggro rush Warrior.
Additional NEUTRAL cards:
1 X Stonehill Defender
1 X Void Ripper
2 X Giggling Inventor
1 X Mossy Horror
I will not recommend to dust anything, but if you are really, really, really desperate, then these are the candidates:
Fatespinner, Bestial Wrath, Kidnapper, 1 X Gorehowl, Lorewalker Cho, Shimmering Courser, Worgen Abomination, Splitting Festeroot, Tortollan Primalist.
I repeat, don't dust anything.
If you would like in more detail how to finish some decks, only ask.
To enjoy Hearthstone you don't need to play Ranked. Play Casual instead.
