Well, they never technically hit the board as a minion: they are treated as buffs.

Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
Jaraxxus does hit the board, then his battlecry states that he replaces your hero. Since mirror entity summons without battlecry, it summons a copy of Jaraxxus.
For magnetic, it's a new type of Mech, it's not a battlecry, so it is why it doesn't trigger the secret

They are minions and they are played. Lord Jaraxxus doesn't hit the board, either, but Mirror Entity will still summon a copy of him.
Magnetic is not a Battlecry, which is what Lord Jaraxxus' effect relies on. He is a two-step process: summon Lord J, then resolve the Battlecry.
One could argue that Magnetic is more like a Choose One: choose to summon the minion normally, or have it act as a pseudo-spell effect that buffs a mech on the table.

Magnetic: "Play this to the left of a Mech to fuse them together." For me this means that a minion have to be played and then it will be fused. Another fact is when the board is full, you can't activate the effect. Which also says to me that it's a play.
Mirror Entity: "After your opponent plays a minion, summon a copy of it."
I understand the logic behind magnetic, but there's still a gap in the reasoning. It can't be just a buff, if you have to play it first. It works like a choose one as linkblade91 says. But it shouldn't work this way if we are looking at the wording.
IMO it works as it should work, but Blizz should reconsider the word "play" in magnetic. Currently the secret should give us the minion after its activation. Otherwise we should be able to buff when the board is full.
Team 5 drops too much "play" words on cards and they work differently. I see why, but it's still the same word which is misleading.

i agree that they should word it better, but i also think the interation is the way they wanted it to be
Glinda Crowskin echos magnetic minions though. They are definitely considered minions at some point while being magnetized. Must be because she read "minion in your hand". But when they hit the board the aren't minions anymore.... now I'm confused.

It's not while being magnetized. Glinda reads "Minions in your hand", and magnetic minions are minions while in your hand, so it's logical they're echoed by Glinda.
EDIT: looks like you edited your post and found the logic yourself, there's not quite any confusion, since they are minions in your hand and that's all that matters to Glinda ;-)
Magnetic is not a spell nor a minion. When played to the left, it is simply a buff-card. It never hits the board, since you only buff a minion with it. It's a new card type that isn't affected by secrets at all, at least not the ones we have now. (except the secrets that are affected by how many cards you play like rat trap)
Maybe they change it in the future, but for now it works as intended.

Go to the search function in your collection and type in "minion". See any magnetic cards?

Maybe it's better for balance in the long run, but it really doesn't make sense given the card text on the secret.

You mean when they are played as buffs or alone?? If its the first option it shouldnt trigger if its the second its probably a bug
Question is do they trigger counterspell?
Top deck is cheat

that's a bug with jaraxxus..

magnetic minions are like "enchant minions" from magic, they arent minions when used as buffs

However if theyre buffs they actually should trigger Spell Bender

not really its not a spell.

Lord Jaraxxus Does hit the board. Then he has a battlecry which turns him into your hero. Magnetic cards don't.
My Decks:
Wildly Secret Superstar
Rivendare Rattle Aggro Deck
Brawl Week 6 Murlock Deck
Real thing that annoys me is Vanish. This played against stacked magnetic mechs deletes any add on mech and you dont see it again.

Jaraxxus is a Battlecry so he does hit the board.
