Not enough survivability. You still have to make it to turn 10 to dump whatever 1 cost spell you made in to a 10 cost assuming you're going for the swap with Mechathun.
But Prismatic says straight up swap the costs and Geist says destroy 1 cost. I get what you're saying by Geist ignoring any reduced or increased costs and treating it as the original card, but I'm not sure it's going to work like that. If it does, then this would probably be the only viable OTK with Mechathun and props to you. The way I'm seeing it though is that it's going to literally make the cost of a secret 10 and Geist will ignore it.

Geist works on base cost. It wont destroy a 1 mana Frost Nova fetched by Primordial Glyph, and will destroy a 5 mana Naturalize fetched by Bright Eyed Scout, for example.

When determining which spells to destroy, Skulking Geist looks at their base mana costs, before any cost modification effects are applied.[1] Example: A player has a copy of Arcane Missiles in their hand and a Sorcerer's Apprentice in play, causing their Arcane Missiles to cost 0. Their opponent plays Skulking Geist, destroying the Arcane Missiles.[1]

Right, I understand, and Prismatic is going to swap the two base costs causing Geist to see a 1 mana base cost as a 10 mana base cost, and therefore, not destroy it.
Edit: Ok, I just watched the gameplay of it in action and it does modify the mana cost (Green/Red numerals for Reduced/Increased) which makes me believe y'all are right on this one. So, that's pretty crazy cause that Mechathun deck could really work.
This is a combo piece card. With all the token generation Pally has. You could just put malygos in a deck with a bunch of spells, and posibly get a one turn combo.
Absolutely amazing card design. I think the car will see some sort of play and could possibly bring a new style of big secret paladin. I don't think the deck would be strong against the crazy control decks nowadays maybe tier 3-4 but it could also be used in a possible midrange aggro list that focuses on utilizing big spells for cheap. Maybe even bring back even pally. Love the card design and concept +1.
But why throw away a minion if you don’t have to? My idea is to combo Happy Ghoul with any high mana spell, though preferably Lay on Hands. You get an 8-Mana minion and 3 Mana spell that draws 3, then since your hero is healed, your Ghoul goes down to 0 Mana and then you can play it, too!
This card will work great in Healadin. Plus you would essentially draw 5 cards in one turn!

You could also say , you need to be incredibly lucky to draw both cards and then you played Lay on Hands (with a 3/3) for 7 Mana !
That unbelivable 1 Mana discount will surely make every opponent shiver....

Wow....I’m just brainstorming here. No need to be a rude jerk about it. Also, a free minion is a whole lot better than completely wasting a minion and not being able to play it.
Does anyone else see a synergy between this card and Subject 9? You could run a bunch of 1 mana secrets along with some big minions. Subject 9 works as a thinning tool to clear all of the secrets out after you pulled your combo. Running the secrets and big minion version of this deck still might not be worth it, but Subject 9 certainly seems to benefit that style of deck.

Yep, this card gets my vote for "most likely to have a broken interaction that escaped testing" I will go further to say this will be the first card to be nerfed or drive a nerf to another card.

[edit] Draw 2 cards for 4 mana isn't bad. The question is - how would you like your outcome? Cheap minion (and expensive spell) or a cheap spell (and an expensive minion)? It would be really interesting to see how a deck revolves around this.
Considering the average paladin spell, which is low cost, I would create a deck with low cost spells (secrets and the like) and include some big guys (The Lich King, Tirion Fordring) and play them at 1 on turn 5 :-)

I don’t get the idea... can you explain it one more time?

Spiteful type deck with Dinosize?

Creative design, I like it!! I'm sure its going to be busted in some way!! LOL

The way I see this card is it has great combo potional if you take the time to build around it.
Best card? Nah, will see experimentation? Oh, you know it.
Nothing to see here boys just another class that can play malygos with mana cheating
I believe it's good because when you draw two cards no matter what the better, higher cost card is discounted
maybe put secrets in decks so you can cheat out big cost minions for 1 mana but you don't intend to utilize the secrets...

In your synergy you play Prismatic Lens and then Subject 9, or vice versa?
Thanks!
