Could just be used in a control paladin drawing 4 for 2 mana, it's not awful then you get the occasional win the game if you swap Tirion with Equality, not sure how many huge spells the paladin would run anyway.
Cool design, although with a lot of their cool designs it's basically already been done in another TCG. That said, I feel like a 4 mana win the game in four turns wouldn't exactly be unreasonable as a counter to druids, even then, probably still good luck!
most of the times It's not 4 mana draw 2 cards, it's 4 mana draw 1 card with mana discount and have 1 dead card in your hand for the rest of the game.
It's worth playing this only if you can get more than 4 mana discount on the higher cost card or if you can get discount on a key card in your deck and somehow execute a powerful combo.
I'm surprised people are voting Very Good, but not Meta Defining... Either this card ends up being a 4 mana draw 2, and fades away in mediocrity, or someone finds some way to break it, and it shapes the meta.
I don't see much room for it to be just a "good card."
Thoughts?
This is precisely why I dislike the voting system here and refrain from responding to polls.
I'd rather see a subjective emotional poll. At least that would represent community sentiments.

Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
So there are really three ways this card can be used:
1) Draw a minion and spell of fairly equal cost: In that case it's just a 4 mana draw 2 which is bad but not awful. Crystology and Potion of Heroism are likely better choices if you just want straight up draw.
2) Draw a cheap spell and expensive minion: This could let you play something huge for 1-2 mana while bricking a spell (likely a 1-mana secret), which seems good. But then you'd need a deck which is half cheap spells and half huge minions to do it consistently, and idk if a deck like that will survive through the early game.
3) Draw a cheap minion and an expensive spell: Imho the most plausible option. Just make an aggro deck with Dinosize, Spikeridged Steed, Call to Arms (maybe Kangor's Endless Army???). Then you get a heavily discounted spell in exchange for a bricked small minion in hand. Seems powerful.
Seems like a card that's gonna need a deck built around it, I don't think you'll get good results if you just jam it into a normal deck.
Minions, when made expensive, is not a big deal, as you just don't play them (you usually will more minions than spells in the deck), but if you get a big discount on a spell, woo-eeh, prepare for a tempo swing. I can see this card being used with Spikeridged Steed, or even Kangor's Endless Army.
Finally an actual interesting card that makes you build around! That expansion was looking more and more bland. I am really interested to see where it goes.
If you think this expansion is bland, I would love to know what you thought of the witchwood and koft. I can think of multiple powerhouse cards for almost every class. This expansion is going to have more impact than Kobolds and catacombs even.
this is going to be really really hard to figure out, but when it is, it will be devastating. the obvious synergies are things like secrets and big minions, another is using things like wisp to reduce the cost of big buffs like dinosize or blessed champion, which would potentially enable otk combos with something like a stonetusk boar
1) deck with narrow curve in average, the card is: draw 2 for (4) with some tutoring included. Playable and occasionally good because of tutoring.
2) the deck has cheap spells and big minions (Secret Big Paladin?), the card turns into: (4) draw a big minion, discount it by a lot, discard the spell. Basically a Spiteful Summoner.
3) the opposite of 2), possibly an Aggro deck using the legendary spell and Lay on Hands as last resources.
In 1) the spell probably does not pass the cut. In 2) and 3) it can play game-winning role for Tempo-ish decks.
Seems pretty interesting, keep in mind the card itself is a 4 mana spell so it might suck to draw the other copy in most strategies. If you run only one copy you can’t reliably build a deck for it.
Regardless I love the card because it can create deck archetypes by itself.
1) deck with close curve in average, the card is: draw 2 for (4) with some tutoring included. Playable and occasionally good because of tutoring.

Reliability might still be a problem.
What I like about your example #3 is that if you draw a discounted copy of this card off itself, that's still fine, you can just roll it again.
This is exactly what even paladin needs atm card draw. 4 drop is pretty crowded but it should find a home
Just imagine swapping the cost of Malygos with a 1 mana secret. Malygos Paladin here we go.
Finally! A 4 cost card for Paladin.

Yup, i remembered something similar too, so i checked the discussion threads of phase 2 and 3 and found this:
DEATHWING NEEDS A FRIENDWING (Class Creation Competition #4) - Phase III [Discussion Topic]
(Comment #77, 2nd row leftmost card)

Wow! Very strong card! Paladin can now get 1 -4 mana lich kings, Tirions and so on!

Build around tier potentially
This could put secret pally back on the map

I bet it will be in use
The options given are bad - "Dust it" doesn't make sense for most cards, even bad ones. Meta-defining is too high a bar for most cards to reach.
I think you'd run into problems with a subjective poll, where people would strongly dislike very good cards b/c they are "OP" and "ruin the game."

All i can think about is Anyfin...

cheating mana is always good, this card has some potential.
