How many legendary minion are there with static effects that are good and playable? How many minions are there with good stats and will give you an upgrade to a totem?
Nah, this seems way worse than Evolve because you can at least calculate your odds on a solid board.
Dopplegangster + Evolve is 6 mana, get 3 - 6 drops. And your opponent cannot disrupt this outside of Counterspell normally or Dirty Rat.
Let's say you have 3 minions survive going into turn 7, all totems or small creatures your opponent ignored. Daring you to play this card.
So, on turn 7, you play this card and get 3 Legendary minions. Are they better than 3 - 6 drops on average? heck no. And it's a turn later. And you can't do anything else in the turn you play this.
On turn 7, you could play Dopple + 1 mana Voltaic Burst spell for more minions AND Evolve. That's 5 minions on turn 7, 3 of them are 6 drops and 2 of them are 2 drops.
The only way this gets played is off of other spell generation effects, like the weapon, Hagatha or the Frog. It will sit dead in your hand most games and when played will be underwhelming.
This card would have been good if the wording was changed to 'Transform your minions into random Legendary Minions that cost (2) more'
I see a lot of people ripping this card a new asshole and I don't see why. Perhaps because a lot of people were expecting something a bit more crazy or usefull than the current card, but I like this a lot. If they gave Shaman something too powerful then welp guess its Shaman/ Druidstone again for another expansion in both Standard and Wild.
The sole reason why I continued to play this game during Kobolds era was because of Evolve Shaman, every game I played was fun and entertaining. Then when both Evolve and Devolve rotated out my enjoyment of the game started to strain, I was really hoping they would add more support for Evolve Shaman this expansion maybe a project card that evolved both your and your enemies minions by 1 or something like that, but I'll settle for this spell.
Lol u guys seeing this wrong. Doesn't matter what legendary minions you get, they are all better than 1/1's. Sure bloodlust is better when you have a board that can attack but can you not remember a time when half your board was summoned that turn, making bloodlust quite a weak play?
Not saying this card is excellent by any means but it's a tad better than what most are making it out to be. If I get this from a pack I'll give it a go for sure
nah it will not work still bloodlust will be better even if u just summoned them and can't atk bcuz it's high cost 7 mana not worth it, u can't summon and use the spell when u have to use this spell u must already have the minions on ur board so what should u play bloodlust or this useless spell maybe it will be useful spell if it was 5 mana cost ( it's a legendary spell ) 7 mana with this effect doesn't make the card better than normal spell
It seems too expensive for it´s RNG. Bloodlust is better and with storm chaser you will get blodlust more reliable too. At 5 mana it would be an aditional option for more T5 consistancy.
Consider this. Suppose you have a board with two or three tokens, like totems and stuff. Bloodlust will likely do maybe 9-12 dmg? Not enough to kill your opponent. You may be able to attack his minions but your tokens will also die. You are still behind. If you use the storm bringer, you basically transform those useless tokens in power minions and possibly regain board control. It's unvaluable if you ask me.

Thinking in my personal luck, this card could change whatever minion I have into: Lorewalker Cho, Chameleos and Nat Pagle.
I wish blizzard would have made a legendary spell that you could play with Electra.
