I don’t think Mecha’Thun kills people better than the other Druid archetypes. All of those tools are way more powerful in other game winning strategies.
You can't compare rin to mecha cthun. Rin just takes time, does not require any other set up, and gives you bodies to control the board. Mecha cthun is slower and more conditional than rin and it requires alot of set up. Dont freak out about a card before it is even out. Could it be better than what i think, yes, but then again it wont be meta dedining and it could be even worse than i think.
Jesus Christ, this thread makes me worry for my deckslots. How about some of you actually read the original post before posting? Is it really that hard? How are you going to silence or transform something that the opponent is killing himself the turn it's played? And the whole board doesn't need to be empty, only your board, which should be easy enough considering druid functions with next to no minions
This is an incredibly serious problem, and I'll tell you why.
Druid has incredible ramp, cheap cards, plenty of card draw, and Hemet, Jungle Hunter is a Neutral minion. If you're playing a deck full of cheap cards, notably tokens, all the cheap draw and flexible cards make this an almost definite victory by Turn 6 for the Druid class. With Witchwood Piper and Countess Ashmore existing as well, if you play even one or two Witchwood Piper, it's almost a guarantee that you win the game early with this card. I mention specifically the Druid class because of Naturalize. With Twig of the World Tree, Spiritsinger Umbra, and Juicy Psychmelon all being part of the same block of cards, I think this might be too much.
I really hope there's more to come that helps tech against something this strong. I fear for the health of the game right now.
So let me get this straight. You think druid can not only draw their entire deck but also play every card they have by turn 6 AND on a regular basis? Like what bro? You basically made a thread to complain about druid but put Mech'thun in the title. I don't think you have any idea what you are talking about.
Druid is basically going to have the King's share of various flavors of retardo-strength decks
... But this is not going to be one of them
This right here. Thread creator just wants to jump on the druid hate band wagon while feeling special. I mean, I'm sure someone will make it work, but you have to be high or dumb to think mecha'thun druid is going to terrorize ladder.

I read the original post, and I think anyone who is afraid of this deck being anything other than a meme is kidding themselves. Druid functioning with no minions, and drawing lots of cards isn't the issue here. Nor is their ability to kill the c'thun. The problem is handsize managment and staying alive while doing next to nothing but cycling through their deck.

If ANYONE could possibly make it work it's Rogues with their legendary spell, but even then there's still a lot of hurdles associated with the win condition.

Then you failed to read my post. No part of it states I think the card is OP nor anything more than a cool meme. I'm not disputing how good the card is, just how good reading is
You can spot the bad players by looking at this thread and reading who thinks this is OP particularly with "combos" that won't actually trigger Mecha'thun effect.

Kid, let me tell you something. I don't jump on bandwagons, and I sure as hell don't hate any of the classes. I don't even ask for nerfs. The only cards I hate are Hex and Polymorph. I don't play with the meta, and I see and respect just about all cards as being capable. I've been with card games since Yu-Gi-Oh's Magic Rulers was released to the states, and I've been with this game since Blackrock Mountain dropped. I've been with card games for a while, and when I see a credible threat, I call it out. Just because you're not capable of piloting this kind of deck doesn't mean it won't be incredibly strong, and for all of you calling this a meme, just wait. You're all in for a hell of time, because it won't be hard to get this to work. You don't know as much as you think you do, and calling this a Druid hate bandwagon post, you're kidding yourself.
If you knew even enough about how this game works, you wouldn't be so quick to misjudge this card, and you wouldn't talk shit so quick.
10 turns without any serious cards? gl

I can tell you are probably around rank 15 to 10
It seems nigh on impossible to successfully trigger his deathrattle tbh

dont forget the board has to be COMPLETELY EMPTY when mecha thun dies for its deathrattle to trigger if your deck and hand is empty
But then Deathwing will be on the board... and nothing will happen.
It should just be your side of the board. The card says "your battlefield" and the IGN article that revealed it said the opponent can have minions.
