I think it will become like mandatory in every deck and whoever draws it on curve will gain too big of an advantage over his opponent. That's why I don't like it.
Druids, as a whole class, and their mana ramp cards are specifically designed like that. A neutral card (even if it's a legendary one) that can give a mana crystal regardless of the class will be too hard, if not impossible, to balance.

The OP part isn't the mana, it's the draw. Before UI ramp Druids biggest problem was lack of draw. Once they played all their mana cards they didn't have man threats in their hand to use it on.
It is hard to understand why Blizzard decide to give so many insane draw to the class after decide nerf the 7 manas minion because was "unbalanced", the pre-nerf version of that card is a piece of s... in comparison with UI.
