Yeah I can see miracle rogue being my main deck in this meta. the deck is already mind melting at times trying to figure out the best play. Maybe we can start to make some more regimented plays with getting the right cards in hand and then using the unstable element then start adding stuff again. I think this is going to be the way to do it. first add a bunch of spiders with unstable eleck so you can keep tempo up with those. Build you combo pieces and then empty the deck.
If this was a pogo based deck I imagine you'd already be trying to build their stats. But I reckon after having drawn the deck you'd want to pogo, recruiter the pogo, recruiter the recruiter or something like that. that way you have pogo's and recruiters. You may wanna add more striders as well. The game might be making some copies of your recruiters early so you can have enough of them to make a bunch of copies the turn after drawing your deck.
Cards like sonya and zola will no doubt be used as well as baleful banker quite possibly (although I'd only run one of them to get an early copy of something going.. I think you only need 2 baleful to infinite baleful itself.... I know with glinda I only need one as you can echo the baleful, but for other decks you may need 2)
It will be awesome to see what people come up with in the first few days.
I know I'll be experimenting as well... this is an exciting time to play rogue.
I get what you are saying. If this is true, this would be very impressive. So are you suggesting the following thing:
Lab Recruiter shuffling 1 card, 1st Augmented Elekk giving you an extra copy, while the 2nd one gives you 2 extra cards (one for each shuffle)? In summary you might get 3 cards (from the Lab Recruiter), 3 from the 1st Elekk and 6 from the second, which will lead to 12 cards overall. But then the first elekk should shuffle the second one's cards as well.
As much as I would be impressed by this effect, I don't think it will work. Why? - because it might create an endless loop, if the two elleks shuffle each other's cards. We have to wait for Disguised Toast to test it himself and see which statement is true.
Or did you mean something else?
Nope you got the gist of it. I see what you mean though. I guess it depends on the internal coding and where the break happens. Like perhaps maybe each one can only trigger once per instance of a shuffled card.
I mean if you think about it even if it doesn't work like Velen it would seem that endless loop could still happen. Lab Recruiter comes down, the first elekk shuffles three extra cards. The second elekk now has two triggers to look at, either the cards from lab recruiter or the cards from the first elekk. Does it do both? Only one? And which one? The most recent tigger (the first elekk) or the initial tigger (the second elekk).
But you are probably right, it probably looks at the initial trigger, as it triggers at the same as the first elekk. It just ends up in a que behind the first elekk to actually let it's effect play out. During that time in the que it can't be triggered again (by the first elekk for example). That would make more sense.
Now that I think about how they work they are fundamentally different. Velen is like a filter. Damage happens, then goes through the first velen filter then the second velen filter. Velen isn't actually producing damage himself. These are actually producing the extra copies as opposed to the effects going through a filter.
So the only card that's actually good with this effect is Fal'dorei Strider. I don't think its actually good with Lab Recruiter or Dire Frenzy or anything like that. That means that realistically the only deck you would want to put this in is Miracle Rogue where you can go turn 3 Augmented Elekk, turn 4 Fal'dorei and be twice as likely to draw your spooders.
So what does that mean? This competes with Hench-Clan Thug, SI:7 Agent and Blink Fox. Well this definitely isn't better than Hench-Clan Thug because Hench-Clan is busted and its probably not better than Si-7. That just leaves Blink Fox which happens to be the lowest percentage performing card that sees play in Rogue with the current data. So the question is whether Augmented Elekk is better than Blink Fox and it's definitely possible that it is. In the games where you go turn 3 Elekk into turn 4 Fal'dorei it's definitely better but the question is whether the 1 Health beats the random card in the games you don't get the nut curve and I don't think we can know either way for sure until we can actually play the card.
Rating playable as this card will either only see play in that one deck or no play at all.
Lol, the hype! The only great thing about this card is the stats with the tag. Otherwise, honestly, it’s going to be a crappy meta if this is a strong card.

I wasn't planning on going for a run today. But those cops came out of nowhere.

Is it not good with Dire Frenzy cause Dire Frenzy isn't good or is the copy mechanic isn't enough? Out of curiosity. Lab Recruiter, well I can't make a concrete judgment call on it at the moment. But my guess if it is good then this card will be good with it. I am not sure how it wouldn't be.
Interesting points. So it all depends if Miracle rogue gets another card to synergize with the Elekk. Personally for me I wouldn't include it there, if this isn't the case. It doesn't seem worth the inclusion just for this situational play. The chances of finding and playing the Strider on the next turn aren't that high. I want to add, that the elekk might also die b4 you get to play the 4-drop, but probably this won't always be the case since the beast is quite sticky.

For Dire Frenzy it's both. With Lab Recruiter the copy mechanic just isn't worth. It's not like Fal'dorei Strider which gives you actual board. I don't think you get anything valuable from shuffling 6 of something into your deck. In fact, it may be too much.

Depends on what it is I think and how loaded for bear you are with draw. Don't get me wrong spooders are the OBVIOUS strong point of this card. I haven't played with Hunter or Dire Frenzy enough to know if it's any good.
I will say however it's worth trying out. Cards like this I think push Dire Frenzy, not the other way around. That being said it seems like hunter is going a more mech centric route. So it may not be this expansion that we even get to find out.
Lab Recruiter on the other hand We'll just have to wait and see. Like I said if it turns out to be good I think this card will be good with it.
EDIT : Psychic Scream wont work since the minion will be removed.
I think i listed every card that can synergize with this, ( up to this post's date )
hey how about Brann Bronzebeard? i know it doesn't directly benefit from brann but a lot of those minions are BC minions so you'll double the cards you throw back to your deck
What happens if you have two of these out, and then Lab Recruiter? How many copies do you get?
I think it will work like Spiritsinger Umbra. You will get 3 cards from the Recruiter, 3 from the 1st Elekk and another 3 from the 2nd one.
You should get six from the second one for 12 total. In the case of Umbra, Umbra’s effect is not a deathrattle and Umbra is not being played when it triggers.

They will each only trigger once in the order that they were played (like all other cards) and they should copy each card added before them. So you should get four times the cards shuffled.
This+2x baleful banker=Fatigue stopper for any class. Might be used in some heavy control deck. Otherwise just a well-stattet 3-drop. Powerful on curve with Faldorei Strider too.
This is one of the cards that seem to be better than they really are. Would you really want to play a 3/4 turn 7 or 8 to shuffle more spiders or ungoro packs? Jade Idols and Dead Man's Hand can already go infinite, they don't need this card.
Realistically, perhaps Mill decks could run this card. Because Fatigue will still lose to Jade Idols in Wild, this card won't change anything.

It's a 3/4 for three, you'll play it on curve on turn 3. If they have to work hard to kill it, then it served its purpose. If they don't kill it immediately, it curves perfectly into Fal'dorei Strider (or Dire Frenzy for the memes I suppose)
Synergy with the new rogue stuff. I will no doubt be playing this guy.
EDIT: Fal'dorei Strider as well.

It will defintely have some Rogue viability (maybe Warrior and Priest too?), but all I want is to run this in Dire Frenzy Boar wombo combo!
Bran iron juggernaut combo!!! Time to dust off iron juggernaut warrior

Play Myra's Unstable Element to empty your deck.
Play Brann Bronzebeard and Augmented Elekk. Conceal them.
Play Ancient Shade, then King Togwaggle (with cost reduction or coins).
A bit hard to pull off though ...

HA, I like it.
