how are people saying this card is bad at worst you get 9 mana 4 12 + 4 12 + 3 3 so 38 stats for 9.... druid combo is only arguably slightly better but with worse spells
even if you dont draw maly it can also be used for lich king, ysera, leroy etc
ideally if you manage to far sight into a good spell it makes it even better potentially you could 1) elektra into farsight 2) zola/grumble elektra 3) potentially repeat steps 1/2 ((aim to have gotten either 2x lightning bolt, 2x frost shock, 2 x lava burst or even leroy so you can get 3 leroys on a turn so almost 1/3 of deck can be gg if you farsight into it and you have 4 chances) 4) elektra into this spell and end them 5) not to mention that since its elemental you have a 2nd way (fireplume possibly paired with murmuring or just grumble) to reduce its cost and therefore can use at least 2 lightning bolts/frost shock even without farsighting into anything useful.
I love this card and even if it isnt super viable off the bat this will always be a card people look at as expansions come out. I love playing maly shaman in wild and I know theres also a fringe big style deck that summons big stuff like KT, LK, ysera and the works to just outvalue your opponent.
Comparing this to ancestral though I do need to say that the differences might be crucial (aside from this being a rare). While ancestral was cheaper and made stuff like maly comboes easier it also summoned something from the opponents hand with it, meaning if its late game and your combo got stopped you might just be screwed. Eureka has the advantage of not summoning an opponents minion and only summoning a copy of yours. Meaning you can curve out lich kings im sequence turns 6 7 and 8. I think this is a card people will have fun with even if it doesnt find a home in a meta deck and it is definately a card people will look at again with every expansion.
This into Malygos is the real use of this, a difference of having 4 mana after playing Malygos vs only having 1 mana after playing Malygos is huge.
Good thing Shaman doesn't have a 0-mana face damage spell, or this + Malgos + Prince Taldaram would just be stupid. As is, without coin, you can only do a max of 13 damage like that (26 with coin).
I expect a competitive deck built around this will see play at some point, even if only in Wild.
Something else people don't mention yet, you don't summon the minion, you summon a copy of the minion, in a value perspective this is awesome, you have another copy of a powerful minion for less mana and if opponent hard remove your minion you still have the card advantage.
Put a Ysera copy for 6 manas, get the dream card, opponent transform or destroy your Ysera, you still have the Ysera in hand, the dream card and the opponent spend a resource to answer your treat.
Really people think this is a bad card? It is in the edge to be broken as hell, well, probably are the same people said 5 manas lackey don't will see any play...
I'd like to see your face, ready to use it on turn 6 to summon your Ysera and then whoops you draw a low cost minion. You missed a turn. Try again, whoops another minion, another missed turn.
Cut the number of minions in your deck? Enjoy the no early game.
This card will only work in a niche spell deck
I will save this for later when nerf topics starts to pop up. :P
The malygos shaman dream is back. But... Why play nalyshaman over shudderwock ever?
have you seen the shuderwok murlocs deck? I think that looks pretty cool. I'm not really into the standard shuderwok though. it's so boring and aggro just breaks it.
I even won against it with miracle rogue on my 2nd ever game with the deck. it's supposed to be a bad match up so I guess I got really lucky.
I do like the idea of shuderwok, but I wish you seen more innovation with it. all the "spikes" just run that carbon copy netdeck and it's so cheesy.
No one can blame someone playing aggro when this is a deck you're going to be facing regularly. ha ha.
It enables a new OTK deck in Standard. If the package turns out to be strong enough, it will define the meta. Otherwise it's still playable with a late-game threat in your hand.
Obviously this has nothing to do with meteorology as Shaman theme for science in this expansion, and obvioisly blizzard team doesn't care much about consistency. OK card, a bit more for the memes. Malygos or Al'Akir the Windlord combos are expected, but probably hard to pull successfully. Perhaps even Electra Stormsurge thrown in the mix somewhere for double copy.

what shaman lacks in zero mana face spells it almost makes up for in other cheap spells. Because you can actually do lightning bolt (0+3+5=8) lightning bolt (8+3+5=16) frost shock (16+1+5=22) frost shock (22+1+5=28) this gives a 28 damage combo for 10 mana if you get maly off of this card. shaman has some decent draw, and decent clear ability. So it might be able to pull this off as a deck. I am trying to figure out if it is faster than shudderwock or more consistent in some way, I think it would be but I am not sure. Time will tell.
I can only see this as a concede control shaman (the outdated control deck without Shudderwock or Malygos), and I would love to play it again. This card does not have potential in wild, but it's very fun to play it!

Looked good, but now warrior just outclassed it with their recruit card :(
https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1141825-malygos-shaman-otk Here i made a deck of malygos shaman otk
all these malygos support cards make me think that maly will be next to rotate into wild
Seems like it could be legit in overload shaman.
You usually dont have many minions in your hand so getting a 6 mana 8/8 snowfurry doesnt seem too bad or 6 mana 7/8 taunt with no overload cost.
Other than that it does seem a bit expensive for its value.
I will save this for later when nerf topics starts to pop up. :P

Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
more interesting to think about it being discovered with Runespear

You got any cool shuderwok decks?
Big Shaman, maybe?
cmonBruh
Good card for a big /combo Shaman.
/e: I was the first one in 5 pages to do that lol
Electra Stormsurge into Eureka! into Blood of The Ancient One into The Ancient One = Profit
Finally some support for runespear

6 mana malygos seems good in a spell heavy class.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?

I like elementals and totems.
