Then take Whizbang into standard? Obviously you will get demolished playing a Blizzard deck in wild, but in standard, especially when the expansion is new and people are trying out whacky decks, it could be a lot of fun.
It will be useless in standard as well because that deck recipes sucks.
Recepies are not that bad. Not godlike thier, but playable.
That is why this card should give a small advantage for do that, the warlock spell changing your cards and hero power give you random but cheaper ones, nothing really insane, 5 additional armor in start of the game will be enough.
I love the idea and I was deciding to craft a golden version when the expansion launches. However, I am a wild player and I realized that all the deck recipes are in standard. So Blizzard will either have to add some wild recipes (very unlikely because of the variety of decks you can make in wild) or this card will be nearly useless in wild.
I'm sorry? Like what do you want? Not everything is made just for you.
How stupid would it be for someone to say, "I only play Warrior, so every card that isn't a warrior class card or neutral is a problem?" It would be really stupid.
The problem isn't Whizbang, the problem is that you "only" play wild.
Lol that's your fault for playing Wild then. Whizbang is one of the most creative cards we've seen. I'm crafting golden Whizbang day 1. If Whizbang isn't good in wild then uh, don't play him. Not every card is tailored for every playstyle. God people on this website are so fucking stupid.
Do you realise that his decks are premade which means you can't edit them and that let them not to worry about design space, becouse players can't add stonetusk with charge or cards from HoF in wild. So the point is they can put in his decks, cards that are not available in packs, like these arena's only. With even a few of them in each deck, he would be playable in wild and standard and maybe even in future expansions, becouse simply those unique cards wouldn't be available anywhere else.
For example they can create discard deck, which actually would work, becouse of super op legendary and it would be ok, becouse that legendary wouldn't be available to you through packs and that wouldn't let you to abuse it.
Or more extreme example: the deck with 30 rainbow ponies each with diffrent effect. In that case you don't need to worry about standard, wild and future expansions.
I do realise that they will not do 18 decks with only his tokens, but 1-3 archetypes enable cards in each deck are doable (remember they don't need to worry to test synergies with cards other than in deck. I think it cuts the work a lot).

That's really not fair. There are two modes in the game. There are people who play standard, and there are people who play wild. This card clearly only caters to one, although the bigger and main, playmode. He has every right to bemoan that this awesome card isn't really applicable to his preferred playmode. Do you really have to come out calling him and idiot and saying it's his fault for preferring a certain gamemode? C'mon, be civil, man.
The "I play warrior" example is not a good one. Every class gets it's own card. We get that. But every new standard card has always been playable in wild. Wild mode gets the same new cool tools and mechanics as standard mode. This is the first time where a new standard card is essentially not supported in wild. Wild players are understandably a little dissapointed there aren't wild deck recipes that this card could take to wild. But then people come out calling them stupid and blaming them for their preferences.
That being said, I definintely see this card as being geared for newer players, since most veteran players that frequent this site 1) can build the deck recipes anyway or 2) don't want to play the recipes. And newer players don't play wild (although if this card had wild recipes, that would be an AMAZING way to let new players sample wild and try the old cards they may never get to try).
I play wild and could care less this won't be good in wild. So what? It'll still probably be my first golden craft just too see all the shiny cards and goof around with it. It doesn't have wild applications but it really doesn't have any deck building applications in standard either since I doubt you could really be competitive at higher ranks. But it will give people a chance to try new decks and have a solid chance to make some progress in ranked as they learn what they like. /group hug

It's entirely fair. Not everything has to cater to everyone at the same time. Some cards are for Timmy, others are for Johnny or Spike. Some cards are for more interesting in Standard than Wild.
Mind you, he is intentionally limiting himself. There's no reason he can't play standard besides the fact that "he doesn't want to." If he can't play standard because of his collection, well that's exactly what Whizbang is for.
This is a problem he has created for himself. It's not actually a problem at all.
"Hey guys this card doesn't seem like it would be fun in wild due to how the deck recipes work"
"Doesn't matter cause this card isn't a competitive viable card"
smh. Turn every fucking post into a discussion on card power level and ignore the OP. Some people actually play this game for fun. You don't need to hijack every thread into your own meta prediction garbage.

You have a point. I don't really see much of an issue either. But I still think it's a little unreasonable of you to call people "fucking stupid" for being somewhat upset that they can't play around with the card in their preferred playmode. People are not stupid for having preferences and being dissapointed that it isn't catered to when something really cool comes out.

The problem with Whizbang is trade your constructed (Standard or Wild), optimal deck for something inferior with 0 pay of, don't make any sense, a very litlle advantage should have for that, for example, your hero power can be used twice for turn or something like that.
The argument the card is good for new players is weak, with 1.600 dust spend crafting this terrible card the new player can make a very good aggro warlock or rogue deck much better than a random recipe.
The value of this card is it allows new players who dont know how to deck build or are not comfortable or ready to deck build to try out themes in the latest expansion. deck recipes are not made for the experienced player but for those who want ideas and themes to try. This lets a new player try some themes before they invest their dust into one. A new player can play whizzbang at the start of an expac and go wow i like this treant druid deck, so now they craft cards to make it and make it better. Not every legend should exist to make powerful decks, augment wild or allow interesting deck building. If you dont like the card, move on and find those you like.
This card is for new players, you craft one card on your new F2P account and BAM! you have an almost viable deck that will win you some games and get you on your way to finishing quests and buying packs.
In a more direct response to OP: Maybe when using him in wild he can populate your deck with any of the old recipes that have rotated from standard, unlikely but I'm sure possible.

I said you call people "fucking stupid" for the OP's kind of post on this site. I didn't mean specifically to the OP.

Sure, if you that to be what I said, go for it. His argument is stupid, I did said that.
However, I never said that sentence or the phrase "fucking stupid" or called anyone "fucking stupid." Except for maybe what we're talking about now. It's pretty stupid :)
This card is much better compared to all useless legendaries which never find place as for example Sergeant Sally. It is much better to have such specific fun card, which purpose is not to be competitive but fun. For example does Arfus is better? Noone is playing it as well, but it is “competitive” card. So i am more than happy that if we got tired from meta we can always play 1 random deck game. Actually from a lot of time I wanted to have pick random deck function when choosing. And actually you can always play casual. In casual you would have much more fun with this random decks. I actually even care more will decktracker be able to track cards, than what will be it competitive level.

Everything about this set shows that blizzard lost its design team when both ben and the other guy left. Boomsday is complete trash

Wait wasn’t toggwaggle unplayable card lol wasn’t the paladin recipe deck tier 1 wasn’t rogue quest deck recipe tier 1 deck please. Tell more i listening.
I never said they create. I simply said they can already play the recipe but don't choose to.
Also, true and sad.
