I feel that this a good card. Not meta-defining due to its random effect but still a good +1 card with a good body. It's similar to Stonehill Defender but without the Discovery effect.
However, what I'm worried about is that the majority of the Elemental package comes from Un'Goro pack and the pack is gonna be rotated soon in less than a year. Once the new Standard year comes again, I feel this card power level would decrease as there will not be that much Elementals left in that Standard. However, in Wild, it will remain the same. Hopefully Blizzard release more Elementals in the future.
Also... where's my Legendary Totem!? There hasn't been one since the launch of Hearthstone! Haha! xD
Certainly as a place somewhere. What's concerning in all of the terrible Elemental cards you can get. Not to mention some "good" Elemental cards are bad if they aren't in an Elemental deck like Servant of Kalimos.
Has the potential to make arena matches interesting if you high roll. Worst case scenario it can contest early and generate some value. I’m not really seeing an archetype where it makes sense in constructed right now, though. Even Shaman sometimes turns to a value game plan with Hagatha, but it’s somewhat rare. Will need to see some more Elemental synergy in thIs xpac believe this is anything more than pack filler.
Synergy with elemental train - There aren't any solid elemental 2 drops that you'd want to play early. However, I don't think there are any 3 drops that want you to play an elemental the turn before. Still useful i think.
Synergy with even shaman - deck has some room for two drop swaps and it's a deck that runs out of steam so an extra minion can be nice
Synergy with the now elemental Mountain Giant- allows you to play a minion while keeping your hand size the same, like firefly. This could be a big deal if shaman get a card that lets them actually draw some shit.
Synergy with Hagatha - For one card you can play two minions and get two spells
All of this makes it a much better two drop to draw in the late game than most.
I'm not convinced it will be in even shaman. Reason being all the 2 drops need to to something. Generating value is not enough. Knife juggler threatens damange, dire wolf alpha and flametongue totem buffs minions, primalfin totem threatens continouos minion generation, murkspark eel does damage. This is just a 2/2, and for a deck that aims to take the board quickly and leverage that board, a 2 mana 2/2 isn't good enough.
The reason viscious scalehide is played is because it gives corpsetaker lifesteal. Additionally, rush is an immediate effect, which is particularly nice with flametongue and dire wolf alpha. Earthen might, which is basically a buff form of nimbus, is better because the +2/+2 in stats can be used immediately for making favourable trades or going face.
I only see this card being played if viscious scalehide is taken out, which I admit is not too farfetched since corpsetaker doesn't need lifesteal to be good.
Can't wait til I play this with Hagatha get radiant elemental from it and unstable evolution from Hagatha. Infinite upgrades anyone? Also Lyra would be nuts too.
Good arena card, not seeing it in constructed because a random elemental is not good enough. You're basically going to be playing a bad 2-drop and probably get a bad elemental that you won't be playing for a very long time. There are better options for elemental synergy, like FIre Fly.
This is going to be insane in Elemental Shaman.
Yes, in even Shaman in Wild this card will be defintively played. Even Shaman is already tier 1 in wild, and this card will definitively fit in.
It's a nice option for even shaman since card draw is such an issue for it.
The key word being "is". With a new expansion out, the deck will have to be looked at with entirely new eyes.

If you play this and get Al'Akir the Windlord, Kalimos, Primal Lord or Blazecaller you just scored big. Even if you get Fire Elemental or Servant of Kalimos that is pretty good. And yes, you could get garbage, but you still get something. This is a really solid two drop.

Not good enough for constructed. Could've been decent if it was discover. IMO Elemental shaman lacks tempo, not value.

I think it's a solid card.

I think this could be a nice addition to Even Shaman. I could see people choosing this over Vicious Scalehide.

Cheap and strong. Will be very useful to keep an elemental chain going.
