30 cards is way more than you'll get most games. This ain't a nerf.
But if they want to give out free dust, I'm all for it!
30 cards aint the problem here. The fact that she can get killed and thus stop casting the rest of the cards is the problem Yogg-Saron had the exact same change and Blizzard considered it as a nerf
It's not a nerf. It's more consistent with how cards work, and most likely how future cards that do similar things will work. I'm guessing Shudderwock works the same, if there was some battlecry that could destroy it.
Shudderwock also works like this. If you hit too many AOE clears like the one from Hagatha or Primordial Drake he stops casting.
False
Yeah, Big Shudds isn't even on the battlefield when its battlecry resolves. That's why it doesn't get bounced by Grumble if there isn't a copy on the board. If it gets copied by Chain Gang the copy could die but the battlecries will keep coming. I'm 95% sure here.
Like I said a thousand goddamned times. I can see how some would view it as a nerf. To me, and i dont think I'm alone here, this changes LITERALLY NOTHING about how I play Tess, so this isn't a nerf.
If you said it thousand goddamned times please be quiet from now on.

Tess still does exactly what you think it does. You know exactly what's going to happen and the exact probability that Tess continues to cast cards. With Yogg it's entirely random. This isn't a nerf.
How can this be considered a solid argument? When she was announced, they specifically stated she'd work like pre Nerf yogg. Let's say I get an earth shock with Tess in hand. before, it would have been a solid play, silencing a minion even if there was a chance it's get used on myself when I played Tess later. Now, it's no longer an option and will just clog my hand. It's not major, but it IS a Nerf.

Like I said, I don't play cards that have a chance to screw over your own board, so I didn't view this as a nerf, though I can see how some players see it that way.

well sorry my dude, a certain 5% tells you you're wrong.
It doesnt get bounced by Grumble, Worldshaker because its text says 'other minions'. It also doesnt get touched by drake AOE because of the same thing, but if you have played Hagatha the Witch it can damage it.

True thats why i stopped playing decks that rely on RNG tho many competitive deck used to run yogg even post nerf just as a last resort in case there was lethal against u then ppl would cast yogg just as a screw it mindset that sometimes could win u the game.
In Tess u can get a new Dk class turning ur rogue cards the ones tess casts which means stuff like eviscerate could win u the match or at least make urself a board with ur minions. Not if she gets killed right from the get go. No minions summoned is pure bs.
Glad to see you actually acknowledge why it is viewed as a nerf tho im failing to ser why u think its diferent from Yogg. The changes are the same only difference is the cards power lvl. One is neutral and super broken while the other is class specific and not broken so it doesnt affect much of ur games. Nevertheless it is a nerf. Ppl go to jail for attempting murder, just because they missed the shot doesn't mean they can go free. Having a purpose is what counts and they deliberately changed Tess card thus being a nerf.

I give up. This nerf is a nerf on par with Yogg. You guys deserve 1600 dust. I am wrong. The numbers win. I'm tired of arguing. I'd rather give in and adopt an opinion I dont believe in.

i find it really dumb that people got angry over this but even though i dont agree with them, getting 1600 from a dead card would be pretty nice :D
i believe that is the problem, its a dead card in terms of competitive decks, so receiving dust for a card that isnt probablematic is counterproductive, profit wise, for Blizzard. They only nerf cards that are broken AND that ppl complain about. Yeah Naga has been broken for so much time in Wild but only after so much time of ppl complaining that Blizzard made the changes. They wouldnt nerf it otherwise and thats why they didnt refunded Tess , nobody was complaining thus no dust refund
Oh no I dusted my Tess about a week ago, I swear if this gets a dust refund I'll be so mad I missed 1200 dust!!! To be fair though maybe it wasn't intended to do what Pre nerf Yogg did.
Dont worry it won't get refunded. If it didnt now they wont give in to the complaints no matter if they are legitimate or not. Btw i dusted Patches one week before they announced the nerf. IMAGINE THAT
I dont care about the dust because I dont have Tess, but it is 100% a nerf. For example against mage you cannot use fireball anymore as it has a chance of killing your Tess.
Obviously a nerf, as before all cards resolved, and now in the worst case scenario you only get one.
That said though, I do agree with blizzards line of reasoning and the chances of Tess destroying herself seem low if you play her right (as opposed to Yogg, where you had no control over the spells whatsoever). A minor change if you ask me.
So yes, I'd call it a nerf. Should we get a refund? Nope.

So u say its a nerf, but no refund? So i guess ppl shouldnt get a refund from Lackey and Summoner too. it was a minor nerf to both, tho lackey its worse cause it can shutdown aggro early, summoner barely got hit but they still refunded the 400 dust for ppl why not here aswell if like u said its a nerf?
It was explicitly advertised as DIFFERENT FROM Yogg. Inconsistent? Yes, but they specified it.
I wouldn't have crafted her otherwise: this is a silent nerf.
PS: if i cast a fireball the mirrored spell could kill her and stop her after the nerf: you still have limited control over Tess's randomness. Target IS random on Tess.

Obvisusly is a nerf, anyone disagreeing is a blizzard fanboy
