It's not a nerf. It's more consistent with how cards work, and most likely how future cards that do similar things will work. I'm guessing Shudderwock works the same, if there was some battlecry that could destroy it.
I don't care how it's consitent or not, it's a NERF, it was working like pre-nerf Yogg, now it's post-nerf Yogg, yogg nerf gave full refund, Tess didn't.
Shudderwock can die to its own Battlecry effects (ie. servant of Yogg Sharon into fireball, among others), but I can't find information regarding whether or not he keeps casting battlecries afterwards
Before ppl think its not a nerf ponder on this. U get a fireball and a couple of minions of mage class like Antonidas. Pre-nerf (yeah its a nerf) u cast Tess she fireballs herself, than summons the other minions including Antonidas which gives u insane value cause u can actually trigger Antonidas effect as u play the coin or back stab prep etc. Post-nerf Tess dies with the fireball and no minions where summoned cause the battlecry stopped. Imagine u needed only 6 dmg to enemy face, u could prep the fireball givin by antonidas and win the match. I give this example cause ive won one match in this exact scenario.
So in this scenario that aint a nerf? wake up friends
I give up. Since logic is statistical, I can see I am outnumbered here.
cause nobody is logical but you, everybody is dumb but you, you are the owner of truth. If u like the colour red and others dont then my god how in the heck arent they seeing the beauty of such colour? how can they be so blinded...
mild tiny nerf is a nerf nonetheless. Do you realize that spitefull druid got barely hit by the nerf? it was a minor nerf to the card but they gave a refund cause guess what it was a very used card and only 800 dust for most ppl anyways
Like I said, I give up. Since logic is purely in the numbers, and I am outnumbered, the only conclusion is that I am wrong. If enough people say it, it must be true, right?

According to your opinion the change of Yogg-Saron wasn't a nerf too. Changes from Yogg and Tess are the same.
The change might be the same but the effect of the change most definitely is not. According to my opinion (and I think I would know), Yogg was a huge nerf. Tess is an incredibly minor change, that I could see how some would view as a nerf.

Its minor cause the card was already bad to get value. If the card was broken as shit like Yogg was it would refunded. Nobody complained about Tess thus no dust. Everybody complained about Summoner and u are telling me that changing the 1 mana cost is worth a nerf refund? I do cause its a nerf even tho its tiny and wont change how ppl run the deck as opposed to dark pact nerf and naga nerf those were really big nerfs. Tiny bit nerf is a nerf nonetheless. If this was a rare or epic card im sure nobody would disagree of this card needing a refund. But its 1600 hell no let the poor stay poor so we can shit over them with our full netdecks while poor ppl have to make concessions and sub great cards with similar but less optimal cards so they can actually ladder up.
Tess got nerfed. Spitefull Summoner got nerfed both decks will be played the same as always both got just a minor change. But both got nerfed
Like I said a thousand goddamned times. I can see how some would view it as a nerf. To me, and i dont think I'm alone here, this changes LITERALLY NOTHING about how I play Tess, so this isn't a nerf.

Kaladin this is completely 100% a nerf. How could think at all otherwise? It was better before and now it’s worse. How is that not a nerf? Yogg was a nerf. Just because they’re changing it to be more consistent doesn’t mean it’s not a nerf. Learn your facts before you post a million times saying it’s not a nerf .

Before the card was released they mentioned it worked like pre nerf yogg. So if it was intended to work like pre nerf yogg how is this not a nerf?
The likelihood that this will even affect most Tess turns mostly goes to show that this isn't really a nerf. Most of the time I see Tess get damaged, but rarely do I ever see her get outright killed, and chances were that if your Tess got killed (possibly by a copied board clear) then you lost anyway seeing as all you would have done is play an 8 mana wipe your board, fill your hand with value, and do nothing to the board anyway.
Most games will still leave you with a damaged Tess, some free minions on board, and stuff in your hand. This will usually not change that.
Like I said a thousand goddamned times. I can see how some would view it as a nerf. To me, and i dont think I'm alone here, this changes LITERALLY NOTHING about how I play Tess, so this isn't a nerf.
What do you think about the fact that hundreds of people associate the name "Kaladin" with you, and not the Stormlight character?
I normally side with Blizzard because I think their refund policy is generally fair, but I agree that this should be a refund situation. I don't even own Tess. Tess dying isn't going to be as common as when you play Yogg since it's not purely random spells but I have seen it happen a good amount. You can now have Tess cast one spell and die, it will change what spells you are comfortable playing throughout the game.

Fair enough but the Summoner doesn't change how i play it either. On the other hand the dark pact nerf changes my controlock deck but they all got refunded
Oh no I dusted my Tess about a week ago, I swear if this gets a dust refund I'll be so mad I missed 1200 dust!!! To be fair though maybe it wasn't intended to do what Pre nerf Yogg did.

Dont worry it won't get refunded. If it didnt now they wont give in to the complaints no matter if they are legitimate or not. Btw i dusted Patches one week before they announced the nerf. IMAGINE THAT

Shudderwock also works like this. If you hit too many AOE clears like the one from Hagatha or Primordial Drake he stops casting.

It was intended to work that way, Mike Donais explicitly says so here:
So whether the change will impact many games or not, people crafted the card with the expectation that it would work a certain way and now it doesn't. People crafted DK Rexxar expecting it to work a certain way, and Blizzard made the change based on community response. What some people call "whining for free dust" could also be called "advocating for yourself as a consumer."

It was confirmed by Mike Donais that Tess works like PRE-NERF Yog. I crafted Tess for this exact reason.
If you told us that next month it will be nerfed like Yog i'll never craft this. I don't need this card anymore.

Yogg's change was counted as a nerf, so this Tess change should be as well. End of argument.
