I actually think Quest Rogue might be able to tech in a card or two to make up for the loss of 5 attack. This is still powerful, but will not feel unfair anymore if playing control decks.
I don't know if this matters at all. I'll have to think more about certain flash points. Certain obvious ones like Spreading Plague and Voidlord come to mind...but the barrage of 4/4's is probably still too much. 4/4 Scalehide is better than a 5/5 scalehide, maybe?
It's crazy that this has been nerfed twice, and that it still might need one more nerf.
I absolutely HATE Quest Rogue... but this nerf doesn't feel right. It should have been "Make the minions in your deck and hand 5/5". It would prevent bounce shenanigans with chargers, which is the real problematic part of the quest reward.
While they are at it, they should do away with the aura B.S. so that the 5/5s can be silenced.
I don't like this nerf. It should have either been minions in deck are 5/5 (think like the druid quest), or your minions get +2/+2 the rest of the game (maybe with only a 4 minion limit at first). Still powerful, but not super oppressive.
I recently opened the quest in a pack so I'll take the dust anyways.

So yeah I love Rogue and therefore I love this deck. I believe it will still be viable but judging the overall winrate of the deck (slightly above 50%) there really was no reason to nerf it. This nerf is purely thanks to players who have no idea how to play against it. I believe I only lost once to a Quest Rogue and that was as a Quest Rogue with double Vanish in starting hand...
Thanks to the Paladin, Warlock and Spitefull nerfs it might even be a bit better.
Yeah.... We, legend players don't know how play against it... This deck is cancer and a prime example of paper-scissors-stone deck.. pretty much autowin against any control deck, autolose against aggro. Not only that, but it is uninteractive af, lots of players simply concede when they meet one on ladder, just to not waste time. It is horrible deck for the meta. Hope they nerf it as much times as it needs to not appear in the meta.
They should have just made it so silence/transform effects don't leave a 5/5. As much as I don't like quest rogue, all the nerfs are too much. It's not a bad thing that there's a counter to control decks other than aggro with a strong start.
This doesn’t solve the scalehide healing issue though. Before you could get quest rogue low enough and finish them off even if they complete their quest. Now, that’s not possible.
Nerf has very little impact. This card ruins the meta. Forces everyone to play aggro to counter and kills the control meta. This card needs the War Commander treatment. Better yet remove it from the game already. This is the only nerf of the 6 cards where Blizzard has failed.
Not really. The problem is that it's easy for Quest Rogue to refill their hand multiple times. They needed to make minions to a 3/3 for it to make much of a different. At least this way you stand a chance to fight for board control.

Wow, nerfed again. When it was announced, everyone assumed it would be garbage. Never would have guessed
2 Nerfs and still .. need a nerf!
It got a slight buff vs priest. But really dislike this change
i just dont get this, just nerf warlock, and when they wont pollute all over the meta, quest rogue will be also gone
(which means i can finally play this, because i'd love to)
Flamestrike will be amazing against this!

Will "The Caverns Below" get full dust reimbursement, when the patch lands? The article doesn't say.
it's going to survive, isnt't

Nice, I will get another 1.600 dust for the card I never use again and never get another one because don't open Un'Goro packs anymore. :)
takes three minions to kill a void caller now, gg no re
