At 5 mana regular non even odd nonsense Paladin will still run CtA. Secret package, murloc package, midrange package, full aggro, control, they all have immense use for CtA as its arguably the most synergistic card for paladin ever. Will Paladin ever get a card advantage spell like CtA? This whole meta has been people underestimating how strong aggro is, I don't expect the meta post patch to be any different; it will take a few days just like odd rogue and quest rogue before people realize the current meta is weak comparatively.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
Not going to respond to each post who disagreed with me individually but I will say this - Call to Arms was good not just because it could cheat out more mana than the card itself cost - it was also good because it refilled one's board after a board clear and functioned as a means of drawing cards + playing them simultaneously. Nothing has changed in that regard.
As well - Righteous Protector was among the best minions it recruited which is a 1 cost minion. Another decent minion it could pop out would be Gravelsnout which becomes a strong 1 drop without it's battle cry or Secret Keeper if someone runs hybrid Odd / secret Pally deck.
So you guys all disagree, that's cool. The majority on this site has been spectacularly wrong regarding decks and cards previously. We'll see what happens to Odd Pally at the end of the day.
Call to Arms might be good to have 1 in your Odd Paladin deck now. Sure it will only summons 3 mana worth of units for 5 mana but one of those units could be a Righteous Defender which has taunt and divine shield so will take two shots to kill. You could pull a Southsea Deckhand and, with a weapon equipped, get a 2 damage charge minion. Heck there might even be a place for the ole Wax Elemental in your deck now since you can buff it with Blessing of Might or Archerus Veteran.
All in all I think I'll be including 1 Call to Arms might be worthwhile in your Odd Paladin Deck. If you draw it early it will be a dead card but if you draw it late it could be extremely useful in the right situation.
Well even pally will probably drop to a tier 3 or tier 4 deck now which is fine as its to strong right now. I predict that murloc paladin is just gonna take over that slot as the premier aggro deck in the format as it is largely unaffected by this nerf even if the power level of the deck falls a little the other nerfs should hopefully bring the rest of the field down a little bit to where a slower C2A is still good.
I think it should be the same cost just "recruit 2 minions that cost 3 or less" so it still leaves even paladin with something to work with, Knife Juggler still works, just not as well, and it still retains the value of being able to get a value of 6 mana for only 4.
Yea I don't think it makes it in odd paladin either. How much does this hurt even paladin?
well if they make it cost 5, it takes it out, leaving Knife Juggler a lot less useful
I think murloc paladin is gonna be the best pally deck since even pally probably wont be played and I doubt odd pally is gonna rise from its low power level simply because a few decks are getting nerfed. Murloc pally on the other hand does lose some power but the core of the deck is still there and I think that's enough to say its probably gonna be T1 as it already is a very powerful deck.
Definitely a well-deserved nerf. It will still be used in all the same decks it is now, except for even aggro paladin, for obvious reasons.
HELL no it won't be used in ANY of the same decks from now on. The only current Paladin deck where Call to Arms is viable is Murloc Paladin, and only because that deck doesn't have even/odd requirements. This will never, EVER be used in Odd Paladin, because I think playing three 1 drops for 5 mana is pretty shit, and so should you (unless you live in a world where the game is completely balanced). I can think that this card will probably be played in control Paladin decks to cheat out Doomsayer behind a hefty taunt, but that's it. This nerf single-handedly nerfed the entire Paladin class. Now the only win-more card that Paladin has is Sunkeeper Tarim. Clearly, you don't play nearly enough Paladin to realise what this nerf means.
That was my first thought too but, Odd Pally also can't put any 2 drops in their deck. So guess its more like Card draw + putting 3 one drops on the board now.

As the Doc would say, Ded ded...ded
Chain gang will replace CTA but some already use it so idk
Not really, who wants 3x 1 drop for 5 mana, that's just too bad.
welcome into every deck Hungry Crab
Best quotes:
"Casual is perfectly fine"
"warlock is not overpowered"
"Playing odd paladin just to test it"
yeah and they nerfed murloc paladin with it wich is pretty nice and smart
This downgrades Odd Pally, all I have to say.

its now only good in murloc imo, sure the thinning in odd is nice, but those cards arent really as impacful without the potential for 2 drops.

so u can most of the times summons 3 minions costing 5 mana total. its basically card draw so its good but not broken like it was
