The nerf that everyone asked for: Can't be used in Even Pally, too weak for Odd Pally. Murloc Paladin will be the new aggro deck to hate on, especially since it's match-up against Cubelock just got a lot better with the Lackey/Pact nerfs.

Murloc also got weaker with CtA nerf. But yeah, it should now be the best pally deck.
Anyway, I expect either control mind blast priest or aggro mage to be the new best deck.
The number of people not spending even like 30 seconds to think about how this interacts with Odd Paladin before posting "OMG Odd Paladin now OP eff you Blizz" is baffling.
Normal paladin and murlock paladin pay the extra 1 mana, no problem, this is the cost the card should have from the start, just don't make any sense for 4 manas.

Yeah... without CTA, there is no reason to run an Even Pally deck. They will probably just take out Genn and some of the weaker Even-Cost cards (Avenging Wrath) and just become regular Mid-Range Paladin.

There are no 2 cost minions in odd paladin, so how is this a strong addition to odd Pally? 3 minions that cost 1 mana for 5 mana is not that good.

Yep exactly this. 5 mana for three 1-drops is horrible value. This will likely only continue to exist in Murloc Paladin, unless some obviously broken 1-drops (or 1-drops with negative battlecry synergy) are released or discovered.

This is why this game does not have constant balance changes. This nerf kills Even Paladin, so if you crafted Genn, he becomes worthless to you. Imagine killing decks on a regulard basis, the f2p/casual playerbase would quickly abandon the game.
Relax with your "the sky is falling" paranoia.
Genn is a neutral card, not a Paladin card, and will be around for 2 years. There is plenty of deck building opportunity if you crafted Genn specifically for Even Paladin.
DONT DUST GENN JUST BECAUSE CTA GOT NERFED.

It's a huge hit for Even Pala, but I don't think the deck will be dead after the nerf. The deck will be for sure only T2 at best, maybe only T3 after the nerf, but not be "unplayable". The new list have to cut some 2-Drops for more lategame value like Lich King and Tirion.
I can understand how CtA was nerfed, but I would liked it much more if it stayed 4 Mana but only call 2 Minions on the board. This way it would still be good enough in Even Pala but would only be "good" for its mana cost instead of insane.
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.

it doesnt, it a good top deck when odd paladin has few cards in hand and at least 3 1 drops in deck. but at turn 5 and so on u should be able to defend urself against 3 1 mana minions
Basically they killed even Pally and this card in one fail swoop. This is the only way Even Pally had to draw it's deck. Call to Arms is not good enough in Odd Pally to summon 1/1's. This is a bad tempo card. Odd Pally has Divine Favor and only plays one of them in most cases Call to Arms is not good enough to play outside any Pally deck in this meta that isn't Odd Pally.

No it's not. Let's say you roll some average 1-mana cost minions. Righteous protector, argent squire and fire fly. That's a 1/1 taunt divine shield, a 1/1 divine shield and a 1/2 for 5 mana. Do you think that stands a chance to compete in the meta?

Maybe Even Paladin can finally shine as a control deck? The raw value of CTA was restricting what Paladin did because why control the board when CTA is just better?

In Odd Pally, this card reads "Recruit 3 minions that cost 1." For 5 mana. Gotta love that nerf.

Decent change but given control and cubelock will both almost certainly be dead really doesn't seem like enough to keep paladin as a class in check.
