Much needed, but I think Spiteful is still too powerful and should consume the spell it brings from your deck when creating a free minion of the same cost.
it would fit the name better, cut the power level of the card, and make it either disappear from ranked (which is not a bad thing) or keep it in the lower tiers.
This is not a skill card, this is a high value swing card with a low skill requirement. I hope this nerf decreases the spiteful decks on ladder so I can enjoy my matches again.

Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
I think that 7 mana is fair enough. Delaying Spiteful by 1 turn gives the opponent more options for removal, and makes the Spiteful deck more likely to whiff due to drawing all their spells.
I don't think this will ruin it for classes like druid/priest because druid has ramp and priest has the 8 slot to play with too, leading to more curve. I think this ruins the use for any other class that used spiteful just for the extra power on turn 6, such as Warrior with Spellstone, Hunter (wild) with CotW, Warlock with Nether/Doom. The only classes that can really utilize this card now are Druid, Priest, and MAYBE warlock.
People are saying it will have no effect however when the cost of Bonemare was increased by one mana it gradually became much less popular. Yes, it won't change much by the means of how the card it played, but it will have an impact on how often it's played.
To be honest should be at least 8 mana, why did they nerf bonemare from 7 to 8 because Co trol decks couldn't handle that shit I think with the value it should be 8 mana minimum

The reason bonemare was so good at 7 mana, was because there are no good 7 mana cards. There are plenty of good 8 mana cards, which makes it hard to pick it with a much larger pool of good cards for it's cost.
I'm sure spiteful decks will still be tier 2 at the lowest. In this case, a 6 vs 7 mana 16/16 isn't much of a difference.
How many classes can answer turn 7 Tyrannatus (+ a 4/4) that can't answer it on turn 6? Bear in mind this deck isn't like control lock where it's just trying to survive until it gets a big minion defensive minion out, this is a deck built out of minions which constantly add pressure to the board and uses spiteful as a finisher.
In the context of the other nerfs I don't think this change will bring spiteful druid down in winrate at all.
Reasonable change. Especially because there's generally a lack of good tempo plays in the 6-mana slot. I wonder if we'll see Cairne creep back into the meta?

In my opinion a nerf in the right direction but not enough. I am sure this card would even see play for 8 mana for the amount of stats it brings into the game.
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.

My gut reaction is that it's not enough, but we know what a 1-mana increase can do to a card (ahem....Bonemare).

Should have been "draw a 5 mana spell or lower..."
Golden heroes: Warlock, Druid, Mage, Hunter
you know ppl said bonemare was still playable, maybe bonemare comeback?
spiteful 7 > bonemare 8

Good change. Remeber we stll have 2 expansions this year so overnerf isn't good. They can print 10 mana 1/1 card with battlecry.

But good try, Blizz
naga was nerfed to 8 fucking mana and this is changed to 7? WTF??
expected nerf imo
1 mana might not seem like a lot to some of you but when games can be determined by turn 6 because of aggro, it's HUGE.
