lol.... 1 mana increase for on average 12/12 stats is now never going to see play.. and is relatable to a nerf weapon?..... also you're assuming they everyone had spiteful by turn 6. spiteful later in game is ridic
Spiteful should be 3/3 or even less for me, if someone puts her into the deck its obvious that there will be no cheap spells... Look for example for 10 mana UI, so it can summon(at this moment) 8/8 , 7/14 or 12/12 -> finally the creature for 7 mana has 12/12, 11/18, 16/16. Even without taunt, its still hard to remove.. Its even worse if they summon Tyrantus....
I would like to see nerf for Spiteful: 7 mana, 3/3 or 2/2, Battlecry: Reveal a spell from your deck. Summon a random minion with the same cost. Destroy the revealed card.
Quite a reasonable nerf without destroying the card. Hopefully people realize that by delaying it by a turn the chance to draw e.g. Free From Amber is increased as well. And in case of Ultimate Infestation that shouldn't be underestimated.
The nerf seems fair, the card probably will still be played. They may further nerf it by printing some 10 drops with weak stats in next set so its not 7 mana 4/4 Battlecry: summon tyrantus
This should have been 8 mana. Could have made it a 5/5 but 7 mana doesn't change anything. I have been in trouble when Spiteful Summoner was played on turn 7 instead of 6.
very same thing I said 8 mana is a fair nerf, even though the player has spiteful in hand for turn 6, they sometimes reserve the option to play it later and its still to deal with 12/12 untargetable
Delaying spiteful decks by a turn is huge. I believe this nerf will still result spiteful decks being on the strong side, but it definitely won't be on the problematic side now. I can see why people still believe that this nerf is not enough, but when the next expansion comes out, the 10 mana pool should hopefully increase, further downgrading the card slightly.
priest takes a hit coz its 1 turn slower and that can make all the difference.
druid won't really feel it becoz they have ramp. so its turn 6 rather than turn 5 previously. if they wanted to hit druid harder, they could have scaled UI to 7 mana and cut the card draw and damage to 3 and spawn a 3/3
i will still never fucking understand why this card wasn't released as a legendary. Historically, 'deckbuilding scenario' cards are legendary. Not to mention 1 Tyrantus per game is enough.
I was kinda hoping they would have killed the card if they were going to nerf it. That would fetch me 800 dust. But as it is, the card is still quite playable in Druid and Priest. Just not as strong.
this is actually pretty impactful nerf, vs control warclock if you are going second and you play the spiteful summoner on turn 7 (and u use the coin on something else) then the warlock just use twisting nether, same for priest except he use his death knight.
This might be pretty impactful. In addition to giving opponents an extra turn to draw an answer, it also take away pretty much the only good 6-drop in Spiteful decks; will they start running more 5-drops and have a weak turn 6? Or are they going to start running stuff like Cairne and Skulking Geist?

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
I love this card, so obviously I disagree with the change. The deck that is really abusing it, isn't going to be impacted by the mana change because Druid ramps mana fast anyway.
All the other decks got a little slower, and it will definitely keep that Sea Giant from seeing the board for one more turn.
I honestly think that when Blizzard looks to nerf cards, they are primarily focused only on the people who are complaining about a outcome of a situation rather than looking at what produced the situation. Its abused because of ramping and protection. Since protection like Taunt minions are a staple in most decks, nerfing that doesn't make sense. Druid is a class that is supposed to ramp, nerfing that doesn't make sense. But changing the card because some players don't want to change up their game to counter this card... that's just lazy.

This nerf keeps the card powerfull in tempo but makes the deck very weak in the long game removing the spell. Good nerf.
I will crush you!
+1 mana is seriously the laziest way to nerf. Turn 6/7 12/12 is still pretty much just as hard to deal with as turn 5/6. At least make it 8 mana.
No way, 7 mana 4/4 + 12/12 still unfair.
4/4 + 8/8 isnt fair at all.

So 12/12 on turn 7 is balanced, right?
I dont think that 1 mana will do the trick but well see...
Are you fkn kidding me?
They nerfed spiteful Priest but literally nothing changed for Spiteful Druid cuz Druid doesn't need to use it on curve.
I think I will just quit the game.
I dont' really understand how this nerf affects the playstyle: it's still a 7mana card that could cheat out a 12/12.
Maybe with future expansions will see 10drops with crappy stats, but until then imho this nerf wont' affect any druid.
